11. Mulan II (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Will fans of the original movie find a comparably strong experience with Mulan II? No, but it stands as one of the better Disney direct-to-video sequels. Granted, it doesn’t have much competition, since most of its siblings stink. Nonetheless, I think it works pretty well and offers a mostly enjoyable way to pass the time. Starring Michelle Kwan, Ming-Na

12. Mulan: Two Movie Collection [Blu-Ray] (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mulan remains one of the best Disney flicks from the modern era. It didn’t rake in mega-bucks of the studio’s most financially successful efforts, it stands as a very well-realized effort that aptly demonstrates the genre’s strengths with almost none of its weaknesses. The Blu-ray delivers excellent visuals along with very good audio and bonus materials.

13. High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite the presence of a potentially interesting lead character, High Roller plays more like a cheap Scorsese rip-off with few redeeming qualities. Michael Imperioli offers a decent performance as the lead, but otherwise this is a tacky, poorly told production. Starring Michael Imperioli, Renee Faia. New Line, $19.98, 3/15/2005.

15. The Karate Kid [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Like many people, I expected the worst from the 2010 Karate Kid remake. However, the end result comes as a pleasant surprise. While not without flaws, this version boasts enough charm and entertainment to make it satisfying. The Blu-ray provides very good picture, satisfying audio, and a decent set of supplements. I’d like more bonus materials, but over

17. The Odd Couple: The Second Season (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the rare shows that never “jumped the shark”, The Odd Couple continues its hilarious run with its second season. No, not every episode excels, but we find many more hits than misses. Picture and audio are more than acceptable for 35-year-old TV, but we get no extras. Despite the absence of supplements, I like The Odd Couple too much not to recomme

18. Mulan: Special Edition (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When it comes to recommendations, I find it hard to think of anyone who shouldn’t pick up this version of Mulan. For all the folks who don’t already own it, definitely snatch one of these right away; it’s a great little flick and a strong DVD. If you currently possess the old disc, I’d still advise a purchase of the SE. With its improved picture quality
