131. Hot Fuzz [4K UHD] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though not a wholly satisfying parody, Hot Fuzz offers enough entertainment to succeed. I’d like a little more consistency and a shorter effort, but I still think there’s enough amusing material here to make it enjoyable. Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost. Universal, $29.98, 11/5/2019.

132. Toy Story [4K UHD] (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An innovative achievement in animation, Toy Story remains a ton of fun. After nearly 30 years, the movie continues to be delightful, witty and exceedingly entertaining. Starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen. Disney, $39.99, 6/4/2019.

133. Twilight [4K UHD] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As one far from its target demographic, I expected little from Twilight. However, it turned out to be a pretty interesting flick, and to my surprise, its weakest parts came from those I thought I would like the best. Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson. Lionsgate, $22.99, 10/23/2018.

134. Man Of Steel [Blu-Ray 3D] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When I saw A Good Day to Die Hard, I opined that it’d probably end up as my biggest cinematic disappointment of 2013. Perhaps I spoke too soon, as Man of Steel may earn that “honor”. Flawed in almost every possible way, the film craps all over the Superman legacy. Starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams. Warner, $24.98, 11/12/2013.

135. The Day The Earth Stood Still [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Fans of the original Day the Earth Stood Still greeted its 2008 remake with outrage. I’d like to join them but the new version is just so darned dull that I can’t muster the energy; I don’t care enough about this film to feel real emotion toward it. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture, excellent audio, and a reasonably informative set of extras.

Perhaps I spoke too soon, as Man of Steel may earn that “honor”. Flawed in almost every possible way, the film craps all over the Superman legacy. The Blu-ray boasts terrific picture and audio along with a fairly solid roster of supplemen

138. The Chronological Donald: Volume I (1934-1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the greatest cartoon character of all-time, The Chronological Donald offers a strong introduction to the irascible Duck. Not all the shorts hit home, but many of them provide very good entertainment and a lot of creativity. Starring Donald Duck. Disney, $32.99, 5/18/2004.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Probably 2003’s most pleasant cinematic surprise, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl ably overcomes the cheesiness of its origins and provides a deft and lively adventure. It reignites the fun of pirate flicks and still manages to feel fresh and invigorating. Starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom. Disney, $14.99, 4/19/2011.
