281. The Last Waltz (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I can’t say I agree that The Last Waltz stands as the greatest concert film ever made, I can’t deny that it’s a fine piece of work.

282. To Catch a Thief: The Centennial Collection (1955)
Reviewed by David Williams: I recommend this “Centennial Collection” release of Thief for all Hitchcock fans, but I’m not sure it merits a “double-dip” for the folks who already purchased the 2007 Special Edition. Does it improve on that release? Yes, as it offers superior picture quality and more extras. However, it doesn’t blow away the old set, and it retails for $10 more. It ma

283. Brave [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it does manage to provide decent entertainment, Brave doesn’t compare to Pixar’s stronger offerings. It just feels like something’s missing, as it seems enjoyable but not particularly engaging. Starring Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly. Disney, $39.99, 11/13/2012.

284. James And The Giant Peach [Blu-Ray] (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: James and the Giant Peach remains a minor piece of Disney animation, and I prefer big brother The Nightmare Before Christmas, but James certainly offers its fair share of charm and entertainment. The Blu-ray provides strong picture and sound plus a few passably interesting extras. James and the Giant Peach would make a nice addition to the collections o

286. The Living Daylights (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Timothy Dalton didn't last long as Bond, but his two films stand as some of the best of the series. The Living Daylights isn't quite as good as follow-up Licence to Kill, but it's a very solid effort that provides a gritty, exciting story. Starring Timothy Dalton, Maryam d'Abo. MGM, $26.98, 10/17/2000.

287. Hook (Superbit) (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Hook remains a film that I really wish I could love but I can only moderately like at best. It simply possesses too many flaws to become something that even remotely compares to Spielberg’s finest work. The DVD presents very strong picture and sound but totally omits any extras. Should fans who already own the prior DVD of Hook “upgrade” to the Superbit

288. West Side Story: Special Edition (1961)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For those who already own the old DVD, I’d recommend they stick with it unless they just can’t get enough of West Side Story.

289. Spaceballs: 25th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Spaceballs won’t go down as Mel Brooks’ worst movie, but that acts mostly as a reflection of the crumminess of the movies that followed it. Spaceballs provokes maybe two or three minor chuckles, but otherwise it leaves me shaking my head at all the wasted talent. The Blu-ray presents positive picture and audio as well as some erratic extras. Uninspired,
