12. Misery: Collector's Edition (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t know if Misery is the best adaptation of a Stephen King horror novel, but it resides high on that list. A simple but chilling tale, this one benefits from excellent acting and concise storytelling. Unfortunately, the DVD proves less winning ... I can’t recommend such a lackluster release, even though I like the movie a lot. Starring James Caan, K

13. The Princess Bride: 25th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: During my many viewings of The Princess Bride, I maintained the same reaction. It was a very fun and charming little movie that may not merit its stellar reputation, but it remained consistently delightful nonetheless. This Blu-ray delivers very good picture and audio plus a compelling compilation of bonus features. Bride remains a lovable film that gets

14. Misery [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own Misery on DVD, definitely get this Blu-ray release. Even if you don’t currently have a Blu-ray player, it includes the 2007 SE DVD, so you can watch it until you upgrade. Fans with Blu-ray capabilities who do have the 2007 disc should also grab the Blu-ray, as it offers a nice visual improvement. Starring James Caan, Kathy Bates. MGM, $2

16. Stand By Me: Deluxe Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Stand By Me isn't perfect, but I thought it offered a nice look at an interesting time of life. The film is well-acted and rings true. The DVD provides very good picture, modest but accurate sound, and a few decent supplements. It's a solid movie that would make a nice addition to your collection. Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: This Is Spinal Tap is one of the all-time classics, a nearly-perfect comedy that continues to work amazingly well more than 25 years after its original release. 19. The Bucket List [Blu-Ray] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps someone more daring than Rob Reiner could’ve turned The Bucket List into something memorable. Unfortunately, he goes for lowest common denominator territory in this predictable, sentimental and tedious affair. Starring Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman. Warner, $14.98, 6/10/2008.
