- 231. The Living Daylights (1987)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Timothy Dalton didn't last long as Bond, but his two films stand as some of the best of the series. The Living Daylights isn't quite as good as follow-up Licence to Kill, but it's a very solid effort that provides a gritty, exciting story. Starring Timothy Dalton, Maryam d'Abo. MGM, $26.98, 10/17/2000.

- 232. Glory [Blu-Ray] (1989)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Glory is a solid effort that tells an important story in a compelling and evocative manner; Zwick usually does well with this kind of material, and Glory is no exception. The Blu-ray offers very positive picture and sound plus a nice array of supplements. I felt very pleased with this Blu-ray edition of Glory and recommend it to fans. Starring Matthew Br

- 233. I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry takes a pretty lame premise and turns it into an even less intriguing film. Packed with cheap gags, nary a laugh can be found ... This ends up as a mediocre release for a truly terrible movie. Starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James. Universal, $29.98, 11/6/2007.

- 235. War Horse [Blu-Ray] (2011)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With War Horse, Steven Spielberg delivers a piece of good – though often sentimental – entertainment. I like the film but don’t think it rises close to the level of the director’s better work, however; Spielberg creates something professional and enjoyable but not better than that. The Blu-ray boasts excellent picture and audio along with a generally inf

The year develops its characters and scenarios in an involving manner and functions well most of the time. Starring Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis. Anchor Bay, $79.99, 12/13/2016.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 40 years, A Clockwork Orange remains an amazing and powerful film. I continue to feel wholeheartedly that it was easily Stanley Kubrick’s best work. The Blu-ray offers good picture, audio and extras. I’m not sure that this is a substantial upgrade over the Special Edition DVD, but if you don’t own that one, go for this Blu-ray release. Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Without question, Falcon is a must-own classic, and I heartily endorse this new special edition. That goes for new buyers and those who already own the prior release. The 2006 release adds plenty of terrific extras and offers greatly improved picture quality. This is a stellar set that I recommend without hesitation. Starring Humphrey Bogart. Warner, $29
