- 41. Ladder 49 (2004)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: All bland sentiment and no real drama, Ladder 49 feels like a chick flick take on firefighters. It comes across as a movie made by a committee. The flick plods through the usual predictable highs and lows but never creates a sense of believability or life. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, John Travolta. Buena Vista, $29.99, 3/8/2005.

- 43. Star Trek: Insurrection [Blu-Ray] (1998)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Not the best Star Trek film but far from the worst, Insurrection lags at times but it generally provides an entertaining piece. I maintain some philosophical problems with it and think it comes across as dumber than most Trek flicks, but the action and humor make it worthwhile. Starring Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes. Paramount, $15.99, 4/30/2013.

- 44. The High And The Mighty: Special Collector's Edition (1954)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It took decades for The High and the Mighty to receive a home video release. Maybe they should have kept this turkey under wraps forever. A truly tedious and pointless film, it’s an adventure with no excitement or tension, and a drama with no depth. Starring John Wayne, Claire Trevor. Paramount, $19.98, 8/2/2005.

- 45. Starship Troopers [Blu-Ray] (1997)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: No one will mistake Starship Troopers for a great film, and it suffers from quite a few flaws. However, it provides enough interesting moments to become something moderately entertaining at times. Starring Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards. Sony, $19.99, 8/5/2008.

- 46. Star Trek: Nemesis [Blu-Ray] (2002)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A fairly middle of the road Star Trek flick, Nemesis has its moments but doesn’t stand with the best of the series. Although it appears generally well made and entertaining, but it doesn’t quite move well enough to qualify as a true Trek winner. Starring Patrick Stewart, Tom Hardy. Paramount, $15.99, 4/30/2013.

- 47. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire: Ultimate Edition [Blu-Ray] (2005)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If bonus materials matter to you, then the Ultimate Edition will be the way to go. I thought the single-disc Blu-ray lacked extras with much substance, but the UE fixes that with its many good components. Unfortunately, it’s a fairly expensive package, but I expect it’ll be a good investment for the big Potter fans. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson

- 48. The Wizard Of Oz [Blu-Ray] (1939)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a list price of almost $85, the Oz Blu-ray doesn’t come cheap. I think big-time fans of the film will want to shell out for it, but those with less intense interest may want to wait for the inevitable Less Super-Duper Edition. If you’re willing to drop some serious coin, though, I think you’ll be happy with this package. Starring Judy Garland. Warne

- 50. Allied (2024 Reissue) [Blu-Ray] (2016)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a lot of talent behind it, Allied fizzles. The movie fails to deliver the necessary heat, intrigue and suspense, so it winds up as a dull exploration of romance and espionage. Starring Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard. Paramount, $19.99, 6/25/2024.
