41. Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince [4K UHD] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though I initially found Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to be a weak entry in the series, a second viewing better revealed its charms. While the movie suffers from some issues that stem from its place in the chronology, it still manages to create fairly good drama. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson. Warner, $41.99, 3/28/2017.

42. Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince: Ultimate Edition [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Since the original Blu-ray looked and sounded great, the Ultimate Edition doesn’t improve on it in that department, but it adds a few nice bonus materials. It’s pricey but it’s a quality release that will please serious Potter fans. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson. Warner, $49.99, 6/14/2011.

43. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire: Ultimate Edition [Blu-Ray] (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If bonus materials matter to you, then the Ultimate Edition will be the way to go. I thought the single-disc Blu-ray lacked extras with much substance, but the UE fixes that with its many good components. Unfortunately, it’s a fairly expensive package, but I expect it’ll be a good investment for the big Potter fans. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson

44. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre [Blu-Ray] (1948)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A worthwhile entry on the AFI 100 list, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre works for those who want a manly adventure or who prefer something with more subtext. It benefits from generally excellent acting, a compelling story, and deft direction. The Blu-ray gives us good picture and sound along with a terrific set of supplements. The Blu-ray delivered a st

45. Sherlock Gnomes [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: To be sure, Sherlock Gnomes could work a lot worse than it does, but that doesn’t make it an actual good movie. It offers 86 watchable minutes of animated fluff that never threatens to become better than mediocre. Starring Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt. Paramount, $34.99, 6/12/2018.

46. The Cocoanuts: The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection (1929)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Cocoanuts deserves attention due to its historical significance, and it also offers sporadic amusement. I’ve yet to find a truly consistent Marx Brothers comedy, and Cocoanuts suffers from some of the usual flaws. Nonetheless, it presents a fair number of funny bits and generally entertains. Starring The Marx Brothers. Universal, $59.98, 11/9/2004.

It benefits from generally excellent acting, a compelling story, and deft direction. Starring Humphrey Bogart. Warner, $26.98, 9/30/2003.

48. The Guns Of Navarone: Collector's Edition (1961)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As the third DVD release of Guns, the important question becomes how it compares to the others. Audio remains consistent with its predecessors, but picture shows improvements and we get the most complete collection of extras. It’s worth a repurchase for fans. Starring Gregory Peck, David Niven, Anthony Quinn. Sony, $24.96, 5/8/2007.

50. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire [Blu-Ray] (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The best of the series so far, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the first one to make me interested to see what happens next. It’s still too long and meanders a bit too much, but it offers better focus and greater drama. The Blu-ray presents excellent picture and sound but lacks substantial supplements. Though the continued absence of quality extra
