11. Battle For The Planet Of The Apes (1973)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... All of this leaves Battle as a resolutely mediocre Apes flick. There’s enough of interest to keep the viewer reasonably involved, but there’s not enough to make the movie memorable or special. It closes the series on a flat note. Starring Roddy McDowall, Claude Akins. Fox, $14.98, 3/28/2006.

12. Bedknobs And Broomsticks: Enchanted Musical Edition (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: This is an entertaining flick but the DVD disappoints, especially for fans who already own the original release. The 2009 version doesn’t appear to provide improved picture and audio, and it changes supplements in a negative way; we get one minor new featurette but lose other components. If you don’t already own Bedknobs on DVD, grab this one, but it’s n

13. How Green Was My Valley [Blu-Ray] (1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I can't really recommend How Green Was My Valley just because I find the film itself to be a predictable bore. It seems well crafted and produced, but the story and the characters come across as dull and flat. The Blu-ray delivers excellent visuals and some good bonus materials, but the 5.1 remix offers a flawed dud; at least we get the much more listena

15. The Poseidon Adventure: Special Edition (1972)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t like Poseidon enough to recommend it to neophytes, but already-established fans will get a big kick from this solid DVD. That goes for all the folks who already own the old “movie-only” release. This set improves on that one in every possible way and is a very worthwhile upgrade. Starring Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine. Fox, $19.98, 5/9/2006.

16. The Cricket on the Hearth [Blu-Ray] (1967)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At their best, animated Christmas specials offer fun for the whole family. Unfortunately, the dull, bland Cricket on the Hearth lacks anything to make it enjoyable or memorable. Starring Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas. Universal, $19.99, 11/19/2019.

17. The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ...I can’t endorse the flick for anyone without a hankering for some campy Seventies cheese.

20. Man Hunt (1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a wee element of wartime propaganda, Man Hunt continues to entertain almost 70 years after its creation. The tense chase at its heart keeps us involved and occupied ... At no point does this become a great release, but it’s more than acceptable, and the movie itself is fun enough to earn my recommendation. Starring Walter Pidgeon, Joan Bennett. F
