Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: How about those aficionados who already own the original Gun DVD – should they snag the “Ultimate Edition”? I’d recommend it. The UE offers improved visuals and audio plus a smattering of useful new extras. It’s a good upgrade. Starring Roger Moore, Christopher Lee. MGM, $89.98, 11/7/2006.

- 13. Octopussy (1983)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Octopussy gives us one of Roger Moore's better outings as Bond. That's somewhat faint praise, but it nonetheless remains a fun and generally solid film. Starring Roger Moore, Maud Adams. MGM, $26.98, 10/17/2000.

- 14. A View To A Kill (1985)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... A View to a Kill offers a pleasing package. The movie itself is weak Bond and can arguably be considered the worst 007 film to date, but even poor Bond still remains moderately fun and entertaining. Starring Roger Moore, Christopher Walken. MGM, $26.98, 10/17/2000.

- 15. The Man With The Golden Gun [Blu-Ray] (1974)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own a prior version of Gun, I’d recommend the Blu-ray, but I’m not as sure fans who have the 2006 Ultimate Edition need to upgrade. Audio and extras remained virtually identical; actually, the UE gets the edge in terms of supplements, as it includes a couple of components missing here. The Blu-ray looks better than the DVD, but it’s not a va

- 17. Moonraker [Blu-Ray] (1979)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, that and the other strong supplements aren't enough to redeem Moonraker, for it remains a fairly lame movie. I like the Bond pictures and find enough fun in Moonraker to get me through it, but it's possibly the worst Bond to date. The Blu-ray provides very good picture and sound plus some fine supplements. Despite the poor quality of the f

- 19. For Your Eyes Only [Blu-Ray] (1981)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I’m not quite sure I can recommend a second purchase for fans who already have the 2006 Ultimate Edition DVD, though. The Blu-ray offers superior visuals, but it doesn’t provide a radical improvement over the very good DVD transfer. If you don’t own the UE, then the Blu-ray is the way to go, but otherwise it’s hard to justify the expense of the Blu-ray.
