- 11. Crash (2005)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I wouldn’t necessarily call Crash itself unmemorable, as the movie’s too ambitious to be discounted. However, I also wouldn’t call it a success ... Give this one a rental if you want to see what all the fuss is about, but I don’t think it deserves more than that. Written and Directed by Paul Haggis. Lions Gate, $19.98, 9/6/2005.

- 12. Flags Of Our Fathers (2006)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Flags easily could have been a simple depiction of the story behind the famous flag raising, but the psychological view of the post-battle events makes it something more. Eastwood balances the elements well and never allows one to dominate. He melds the material into a slightly inconsistent but mostly rich and involving tale. Directed by Clint Eastwood.

- 13. Gosford Park [Blu-Ray] (2001)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I doubt I’ll ever be a real fan of Robert Altman’s work, Gosford Park fares well. The movie provides an unusually dispassionate take on the murder mystery genre and offers a clever and intriguing experience. Starring Maggie Smith, Emily Watson. Arrow, $34.95, 11/27/2018.

- 14. Trainwreck [Blu-Ray] (2015)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Comedian Amy Schumer leaps to the big screen with Trainwreck, but the results seem inconsistent. While the movie provokes a mix of laughs, it bogs down too much of the time and also suffers from Schumer's lack of dramatic skills. Starring Amy Schumer, Bill Hader. Universal, $34.98, 11/10/2015.
