101. Shaft: Criterion Collection [4K UHD] (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A seminal film, I appreciate the cultural importance of Shaft more than its cinematic merits. That said, it presents a moderately engaging detective tale, if not an especially good one. Starring Richard Roundtree, Moses Gunn. Criterion, $49.95, 6/21/22.

102. Thor: The Dark World [4K UHD] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With Thor: The Dark World, we get a serviceable sequel, but it doesn’t do a lot to stand out as memorable. Though the movie offers reasonable excitement at times, it tends to drag and becomes one of the less interesting of the Avengers-related efforts. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman. Disney, $39.99, 8/13/2019.

103. XXX: Superbit Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A loud and obnoxious affair, the flick tries way too hard to floor us with its extreme action, but it does little more than seem inane and pointlessly flashy.

105. School Daze [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After the rousing success of his first film, Spike Lee went through his sophomore slump with School Daze. However, despite a number of flaws, the movie has enough going for it to merit a viewing, as it becomes inconsistent but provocative. Starring Laurence Fishburne, Spike Lee. Sony, $14.99, 11/13/2018.

106. The Mask of Zorro [Blu-Ray] (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Mask of Zorro isn’t a classic film, but I felt it provided a fun and exciting affair. It benefited from good acting and some solid action pieces that helped compensate for a mildly generic quality. The Blu-ray offers very strong picture and sound, and it adds a smattering of decent supplements crowned by an excellent audio commentary. Starring Antoni

109. Extras: The Complete Series (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While completists will want to have it, they won’t be happy to spend $50 MSRP for the privilege. HBO shouldn’t force the series’ biggest fans to shell out so much money for one DVD; the “Finale” really needs to get a solo release. I like the “Complete Series” for folks new to Extras on DVD, but if you already own any of the prior releases, save your mone

110. Black Sunday [Blu-Ray] (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At its heart, Black Sunday features an intriguing plot, and given the state of world affairs, it should offer a chilling and exciting examination of its topic. Unfortunately, the movie presents a silly and disjointed affair that takes forever to progress and never becomes tense or compelling. Starring Robert Shaw, Bruce Dern. Arrow, $39.95, 3/28/2023.
