41. Time Bandits: Criterion Collection (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In the end, although I clearly find fault with the film, I enjoy Time Bandits enough that the movie comes recommended. Fans of Time Bandits will find this to offer the best version of the movie on DVD, but the film definitely could use a remastering. Directed by Terry Gilliam. Criterion, $34.98, 3/30/1999.

42. Thunderball (1965)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my complaints, I continue to really enjoy Thunderball. It’s easy to watch the flick and ignore its problems. There’s more than enough excitement and flair onscreen to make it a winner. Starring Sean Connery, Claudine Auger. MGM, $34.98, 10/19/1999.

43. From Russia With Love (1963)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... I clearly was way off-base when I used to think that From Russia With Love made for a boring Bond film. In reality, it's one of the best the series has to offer as it packs in an excellent plot and some well-executed action. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with Russia. Starring Sean Connery, Daniela Bianchi. MGM, $26.98, 10/17/2000.

44. Thunderball [Blu-Ray] (1965)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I wouldn’t refer to Thunderball as flawless Bond, it remains one of the series’ best efforts. With its great action, interesting settings and stellar babes, it’s a winner. The Blu-ray presents very strong picture and audio along with a solid roster of extras. This package comes with a high recommendation, and that goes for those who already have th

45. Time Bandits: Divimax Edition (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The 2004 release of Time Bandits definitely warrants a repurchase for anyone who already owns either of the prior releases. The old Anchor Bay release now seems totally useless, as the new one totally outclasses it. However, those with the Criterion version will probably still want to hold onto it for its pretty informative audio commentary. Starring Joh

46. Highlander: The Immortal Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not a classic, it certainly shows a lot of flair and creativity, and it works well as a whole.

47. Live and Let Die [Blu-Ray] (1973)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... fans of the film will definitely want to upgrade to the Blu-ray. The old DVD was one of the least attractive of the 2006 releases; it looked decent, but it wasn’t as good as its siblings. The Blu-ray significantly upgrades the picture quality of the 2006 DVD, though, and makes this a must buy for Live and Let Die lovers. Starring Roger Moore, Yaphet

48. Live and Let Die: Ultimate Edition (1973)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Should folks who already own the prior release pursue this Ultimate Edition? Yes, though this isn’t the “slam dunk” I’d hoped it would be. The new supplements provide some very nice elements, and both audio and visuals demonstrate improvements. However, the picture still suffers from some problems, and the disc lacks the movie’s original monaural soundtr

49. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade [4K UHD] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade doesn’t live up to the heights of Raiders of the Lost Ark, it definitely tops Temple of Doom, and it finishes the 1980s trilogy well. The movie boasts wonderful interactions between its lead actors and seems quite entertaining and enjoyable. Starring Harrison Ford, Sean Connery. Paramount, $99.98, 6/8/2021.
