1. Superbad: Unrated Special Edition (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you expect a deep, inspiring cinematic journey, don’t watch Superbad. If you want a crude but clever and often very funny romp, Superbad will be a fine choice ... Both an entertaining movie and a pretty good DVD, Superbad earns my recommendation. Starring Jonah Hill, Michael Cera. Sony, $34.95, 12/4/2007.

3. This Is The End [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe its fun premise and star-studded cast elevated expectations too high, but This Is the End doesn’t totally deliver the goods. It does come with laughs and reasonable entertainment value, but the final result lacks the consistency to become a genuinely fine film. Starring Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen. Sony, $9.98, 10/1/2013.

5. Zack And Miri Make A Porno [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Among Kevin Smith’s films, Zack and Miri Make a Porno ends up somewhere in the middle. To be sure, it’s usually quite funny and enjoyable, but it sags as it progresses and doesn’t match up with his best work ... I doubt Porno will create many new Smith fans, but those who dig his work will like it. Starring Seth Rogen, Elizabeth Banks. Weinstein Company,

6. The Green Hornet [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: On the surface, The Green Hornet should’ve been a miscast disaster, but the movie actually manages to entertain. Sure, it’s not especially consistent, but it manages enough action and comedy to succeed. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture, solid audio and a nice collection of supplements. Don’t expect a classic here, but as long as you can tolera

8. Long Shot [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At its core, Long Shot sounds like an appealing rom-com. Unfortunately, it becomes preachy, sloppy and unsatisfying. Starring Charlize Theron, Seth Rogen. Lionsgate, $39.99, 7/30/2019.

9. Pineapple Express: Unrated Special Edition (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen need to hide in a cave together for a while. They’ve been all over multiplexes over the last couple of years, and with the exception of the surprisingly hilarious Step Brothers, each film seems to be less entertaining than the last. Plop Pineapple Express at the top of that list. I found a mere handful of minor laughs her

10. Freaks And Geeks: The Complete Series (Limited Edition Yearbook) (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I truly loved the LE, I just can’t recommend it to too many fans because of the price. $50 to $70 for a yearbook and two extra DVDs seems awfully steep. If the money doesn’t matter to you, go for the LE; you’ll be very happy with it. Otherwise, it seems tough to justify the extra expense for this undeniably excellent package. Created by Paul Feig.
