31. The Jerk (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Jerk is a generally boring movie that's featured on a DVD marred by a flawed image, flat sound, and very few extras. I canít recommend this weak product and dull film. Starring Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters. Universal, $24.98, 4/28/1998.

32. The Jerk: 26th Anniversary Edition (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Obviously I donít like The Jerk enough to recommend it to someone who hasnít seen it. For established fans, however, this is the DVD you should get Ė even if you already own the prior release. The supplements stink, but it provides radical improvements in picture and audio. Snag this sucker to enjoy the movie with a much stronger presentation. Starring S

33. Date Night [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it never reinvents the ďfish out of waterĒ wheel, Date Night still proves to be thoroughly entertaining. Much of the credit goes to an excellent cast highlighted by fine performances from Tina Fey and Steve Carell. The Blu-ray gives us decent to good picture and audio as well as a useful, engaging set of supplements. I like this flick and think th

34. Freaks And Geeks: The Complete Series (Limited Edition Yearbook) (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I truly loved the LE, I just canít recommend it to too many fans because of the price. $50 to $70 for a yearbook and two extra DVDs seems awfully steep. If the money doesnít matter to you, go for the LE; youíll be very happy with it. Otherwise, it seems tough to justify the extra expense for this undeniably excellent package. Created by Paul Feig.

35. The Jerk [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite repeated attempts to develop an appreciation for The Jerk, it just hasnít happened Ė and probably never will. The movie has an occasional moment of mirth but usually seems slow, witless and boring. Starring Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters. Universal, $9.98, 7/9/2013.

36. Planes, Trains and Automobiles [4K UHD] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Planes, Trains and Automobiles succeeds largely due to the chemistry of its two stars. For all his faults, director John Hughes usually had the good sense to get out of the way and not interfere with their interactions. Starring Steve Martin, John Candy. Paramount, $25.99, 11/22/2022.

37. It's Complicated [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With three talented stars as its leads, I thought Itís Complicated wouldíve been at least partially entertaining. Unfortunately, the film suffers from thin characters and story, and those actors fail to elevate the material. The Blu-ray offers very good picture, decent audio, and a small set of supplements highlighted by a generally interesting commentar

40. Taxi Driver [Blu-Ray] (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Dark and haunting, Taxi Driver provides a rich examination of a deeply troubled character. The movie paints a full picture of its subject and remains effective after 35 years. The Blu-ray presents excellent picture and extras as well as very good audio. The Blu-ray becomes the optimal version of this classic film. Starring Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster. S
