111. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I enjoyed it, I can’t say I was wild about the original Madagascar, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that its sequel doesn’t do much for me. Escape 2 Africa provides a few laughs but nothing more than that; it proves rather forgettable ... This turns into a nice release for an average movie. Starring Ben Stiller, Chris Rock. DreamWorks, $34

112. Giant [Blu-Ray Book] (1956)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A generally excellent movie, Giant works well after almost half a century. The film comes with some flaws, but it moves briskly despite its extended running time, and it boasts some good performances and an interesting perspective. The Blu-ray offers erratic but acceptable to good picture and audio along with a strong set of supplements. In the end, the

113. Giant (1956)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Giant seems like a good enough film for me to recommend it anyway, but the erratic visuals and audio make it something of a disappointment.

114. Paul McCartney: Get Back (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The movie fails to offer a clear and compelling rendition of Paul McCartney’s live shows as it features too much extraneous material.

116. The Rolling Stones: The Biggest Bang (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Make cracks about their advancing age if you’d like, but the Rolling Stones can still rock with the best of them. We get some signs of that in The Biggest Bang, a look at their 2005-07 tour. The performances aren’t always top-notch, but they usually work pretty well. We get generally good picture and audio along with some nice extras. The 2003 Four Flick

117. SCTV Network/90: Volume One (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the funniest program ever to hit the air, SCTV comes to DVD with this package of nine episodes. Not each one flies, but only a few sketches tank and a great deal of hilarious material appears across the almost 10 hours of footage found in this set. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $89.98, 6/8/2004.

118. The Simpsons: The Complete Fourteenth Season [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: By Season 14, The Simpsons was in a pattern of generally good but unexceptional episodes. There’s little – if anything – here that competes with the series’ best, but I think S14 is more entertaining than its detractors believe; while average by Simpsons standards, it’s still enjoyable. The Blu-ray offers pretty good picture and audio as well as the usua

119. Beatles Anthology (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Beatles Anthology doesn’t come cheap, but for fans, it’s easily worth every penny. With lots of good information and even more excellent musical bits, it provides a solid examination of the world’s most famous rock band. EMI, $79.98, 4/1/2003.

120. Genesis: 1983-1998 (Box Set) (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As for this set, it’s a nice package of audio and video. We get a nice array of music videos that don’t look good, but that’s due to the restrictions of the source material. The 5.1 remixes are simply terrific, and the release includes a lot of nice archival material. While not exhaustive, 1983-1998 provides a fine compilation. Starring Genesis. Rhino, $
