241. Logan's Run [Blu-Ray] (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It probably doesn't take a fortune teller to see where the conclusion to this review will go. Logan’s Run offers a goofy, extremely dated piece of sci-fi cheese. It borders on unwatchable. The Blu-ray presents very good audio and picture. Extras seem light, but at least we get a terrific audio commentary. I think this is an awful film, but fans should be

242. Fighting With My Family [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An underdog story that leaves few clichés unturned, Fighting With My Family disappoints. It lacks coherence and consistency, so it becomes a forgettable tale. Starring Florence Pugh, Vince Vaughn. Universal, $34.98, 5/14/2019.

243. Cream: Royal Albert Hall (London - May 2-6, 2005) (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In a year packed with concerts from older superstar acts like Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen, the reunion of Cream comes as the biggest surprise. And based on what I saw on these DVDs, it was a very pleasant surprise. Largely due to the fiery play of Eric Clapton, Cream sounded great in their London concerts. Starring Eric Clapt

244. Heart: Dreamboat Annie (Live) (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I like the concept behind “Legendary Albums Live”, and Dreamboat Annie fares pretty well in that setting. We get a full take on a famous album plus a few other tunes, and most of them sound quite good ... This is a good pick up for Heart fans. Starring Heart. Shout Factory, $19.98, 10/23/2007.

245. The Bangles: Return To Bangleonia (Live In Concert) (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I can’t really lavish a great deal of plaudits on Return to Bangleonia, as it’s not a killer production. The band slip on more than a few occasions, and they probably would’ve sounded better with a few more shows under their reunited belts. Nonetheless, there’s a lot of charm and energy on display. This may not be a great live show, but it’s a fun one. S

246. Rolling Stones: Live in Leeds 1982 [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a Rolling Stones fan, I’m happy to have Live In Leeds 1982 for historical reasons, but I can’t imagine I’ll watch it much. Musically, the band mostly sounds good, but the visual choices ensure that the Blu-ray can become boring to watch. Starring The Rolling Stones. Eagle Rock Entertainment, $34.98, 11/20/2015.

247. The Island (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Island works as a decent action film once, but it doesn’t hold up to additional viewings. Those reveal it as a thin, glossy film without enough excitement to make it worthwhile. Starring Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson. Universal, $29.99, 12/13/2005.

248. Bubba Ho-Tep [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Something of a disappointment, Bubba Ho-Tep enjoys a clever concept but suffers from disjointed execution. The movie combines various genres in an unsatisfying manner that makes it scattered and only sporadically entertaining. Starring Bruce Campbell, Ossie Davis. Shout!, $34.93, 11/8/2016.

249. Hamlet 2 (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Broad, cartoony and only occasionally funny, Hamlet 2 offers an exercise in intermittent cleverness. Unfortunately, we find such erratic entertainment that the whole package disappoints. It probably would work better as a skit or a short program, as it just can’t fill 92 minutes with quality material ... This isn’t a bad movie or release, but it doesn’t
