101. The Jazz Singer [Blu-Ray Book] (1927)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a piece of movie history, The Jazz Singer falls into “must see” territory. As a piece of entertainment, it’s a dud – at least by modern standards. I think the film relies on its gimmick too much and fails to develop into a flick with enough substance to succeed ... The Blu-ray presents excellent visuals and more than acceptable audio along with a ter

102. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (2022 Remaster) [Blu-Ray] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I will gladly acknowledge the many flaws of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, but I think its foes too quickly dismiss its positives. It remains possibly the most introspective and deepest of the Trek flicks, and that tone makes it interesting. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount, $17.99, 9/6/2022.

104. Jaws [Blu-Ray] (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 37 years, Jaws remains one of the all-time great films. Tight, briskly-paced and fully engrossing, it deserves its status as a classic. The Blu-ray offers excellent picture and audio as well as a broad and engaging set of supplements. This is as good as movies get, and the Blu-ray easily becomes the best home video version of it seen to date – by a

105. Doctor Zhivago [Blu-Ray] (1965)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: (I) felt pleased with the Blu-ray. It boasted excellent visuals, solid audio and a generally nice complement of supplements. This is a top-notch release, and the picture quality was a big step up over the DVD. However, movie score fans will still want to hold onto the 2001 package; it includes an isolated score that goes missing here. That’s too bad, but

106. Mickey Mouse In Black And White: Volume II (1928-1935)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: We can see Mickey Mouse and animation evolve through the 40 shorts of Mickey Mouse In Black and White, Volume 2. It’s a delightful journey, and despite their crudeness, some of the oldest shorts are amusingly bizarre. Starring Mickey Mouse. Disney, $32.99, 12/7/2004.

107. Jaws: 30th Anniversary Edition (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own a prior version of Jaws, run to the store and buy this 30th Anniversary Edition; it’s the best release of the film available. However, if you do possess one of the 25th anniversary discs, you’ll find only two reasons to “upgrade”: the inclusion of the original monaural soundtrack and the restoration of the full two-hour “Making of Jaws”

108. Jaws: 25th Anniversary Edition (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ddespite my disappointment at the alterations, I still have to give the Jaws DVD a very hearty recommendation. These facts remain: the movie itself is one of the all-time greats, and the DVD provides very solid picture, sound and extras. Is it perfect? No, but it's still a great little package. Starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw. Universal, $26.98, 7/11/

110. Atonement [Blu-Ray] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Somebody must’ve liked Atonement since it got an Oscar nomination as Best Picture. I couldn’t find much worth in this plodding, insubstantial piece of faux romantic fluff. Starring Keira Knightley, James McAvoy. Universal, $14.98, 1/26/2010.
