51. Ratatouille (2007)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Through two screenings, I kept hoping I’d embrace Ratatouille, but no breakthrough ever came. I enjoyed the film and found much to like about it, but it lacked that certain kick that would allow me to really love it ... Despite my somewhat lackluster attitude toward Ratatouille, I do like it enough to recommend it. This may not be one of my favorite Pixa

52. My Best Friend's Wedding [Blu-Ray] (1997)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Contrived and lackluster, My Best Friend’s Wedding can’t approach my level of charm. Though some actors enliven it, one poor example of casting combined with overbearing direction undercuts any potential strengths. Starring Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz. Sony, $19.98, 2/3/2015.

53. It Came From Outer Space (1953)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I can’t state that It Came From Outer Space offered a bad film, but it seemed goofy and dated almost 50 years after its creation.

54. The Pacific: Gift Set Edition [Blu-Ray] (2010)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With its focus on the “soldier’s eye view” of the war, The Pacific doesn’t deliver a broad general history of the conflict against the Japanese. And that’s fine with me, as it does provide a consistently engaging, moving take on the experience of a handful of particular Marines. The Blu-ray offers very good picture, excellent sound and a nice collection

56. The High And The Mighty: Special Collector's Edition (1954)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It took decades for The High and the Mighty to receive a home video release. Maybe they should have kept this turkey under wraps forever. A truly tedious and pointless film, it’s an adventure with no excitement or tension, and a drama with no depth. Starring John Wayne, Claire Trevor. Paramount, $19.98, 8/2/2005.

57. The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King (2003)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A terrific conclusion to a remarkable trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King provides a real winner. It moves quickly, keeps us involved and excited, and pays off with a satisfying and emotional finish. Starring Elijah Wood, Sean Astin. New Line, $29.95, 5/25/2004.

58. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 2 (2009)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I wasn’t wild about the series’ first season, Year Two of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles proves more satisfying. It peters out a bit by the end but it still offers a good collection of action shows that holds up within the Terminator universe. In terms of the quality, the DVD offers reasonably positive picture and audio along with a mix of

59. The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King - Platinum Series Extended Edition (2003)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I definitely preferred the extended takes on Fellowship and Towers to their theatrical renditions, whereas that’s not the case here. Nonetheless, this shouldn’t negate the fact that the 4-disc King offers a spectacular package. I can’t praise it enough, as it presents yet another stunning release that stands as arguably the greatest DVD ever released. Di

60. Band of Brothers (2001)

Reviewed by Blake Kenny: Band of Brothers is epic in its intensity and certainly a DVD set which will be cherished by many.
