1. Saturday Night Fever: 30th Anniversary Special Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own a prior version of Fever, the Blu-ray is the way to go. It looks great and presents the film really well. However, if you already have the 30th Anniversary DVD and feel content with it, I’d question the need for an upgrade. The Blu-ray offers strong visuals, but the DVD remains very competent in that regard. Starring John Travolta, Karen

3. Grease: Rockin' Rydell Edition (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Grease deserves a recommendation just because it can be so delightful at times, and this 2006 “Rockin’ Rydell Edition” is the one to get. That goes for new purchasers and those who own the 2002 DVD. The 2006 version offers substantial improvements in picture and audio quality, and it also includes some decent new supplements. Starring John Travolta, Oliv

4. Grease: 40th Anniversary Edition [4K UHD] (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 40 years after the movie first dazzled me, Grease doesn’t rock my world anymore, but it remains a fairly entertaining little piece of work. Parts of it fall flat, but enough of it seems satisfying to make it a fun program. Starring John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John. Paramount, $31.98, 4/24/2018.

6. Basic (2003)
Reviewed by David Williams: Check reality, as well as your brain, at the door and prepare yourself for another bland Travolta “thriller”. Rashomon or The Usual Suspects this ain’t and while Basic does provide a decent “who done it?”, it’s far from a provocative thriller." Starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson. Columbia, $27.94, 7/8/2003.

7. Saturday Night Fever: 30th Anniversary Special Collector's Edition (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own Fever on DVD, I’d definitely recommend this 30th Anniversary disc. If you do have the old one, I’d still push for you to get this one just for its improved visuals and new extras. Unfortunately, the die-hard fans won’t be able to get rid of the 2002 disc since it includes some features that don’t pop up here as well. I like this 30th Ann

8. Bolt [Blu-Ray 3D] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Bolt doesn’t compete with the best of Disney’s animated movies, it also never threatens to fall among their worst products. Sure, the film can be predictable and lacks great cleverness, but it keeps us entertained from start to finish. Starring John Travolta, Miley Cyrus. Disney, $39.99, 11/8/2011.

Sure, the film can be predictable and lacks great cleverness, but it keeps us entertained from start to finish ... While the supplements disappoint, the disc does enough right to earn my recommendation. Starring John Travol

10. Be Cool (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It took them 10 years to make a sequel to Get Shorty and this was the best they could do? Despite some occasional humor, Be Cool usually comes across as dull and rambling. A few supporting performances add zest, but the leads seem surprisingly bland and they drag down a flick that needs as much life as possible. Starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman. MGM,
