1. The Reader [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With too much 'Afterschool Special' and not enough real drama, The Reader disappoints. It takes complex subject matter and simplifies in an unappealing manner. Starring Kate Winslet, Ralph Fiennes. Weinstein Company, $9.95, 4/14/2009.

2. The Reader (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too much “Afterschool Special”, not enough real drama, The Reader disappoints. It takes complex subject matter and simplifies in an unappealing manner ... I think the story has potential, but the film falls far short of its goals. Starring Kate Winslet, Ralph Fiennes. Weinstein Company, $29.95, 4/14/2009.

3. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind: Collector's Edition (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I recommended the first release of Mind and endorse this one as well - if you don’t already have the prior edition. It presents everything from the initial set plus some substantial new components. However, if you already own the original set, I find it hard to push you to double-dip. It includes a few nice elements but not enough to merit a repurchase.

4. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A pleasant surprise, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind looks trite at the start but it soon blossoms into something creative and involving. The movie doesn’t take too many predictable paths as it follows an unusual route to communicate the complications of relationships. The Blu-ray offers fairly good picture and audio plus a set of supplements that

5. Revolutionary Road (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: American Beauty director Sam Mendes revisits suburbia to erratic effect in Revolutionary Road. The movie has its moments but doesn’t seem inventive or involving enough to soar ... This becomes a reasonably positive release for an erratic film. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet. Paramount, $29.99, 6/2/2009.

6. The Holiday (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Should you expect anything new, fresh or even vaguely interesting from The Holiday? Nope. It gives us a forgettable romantic fantasy that runs too long and offers too little to occupy our imaginations. Starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet. Sony, $28.95, 3/13/2007.

8. Christmas Carol: The Movie (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: There might be some way to do something new and fresh with A Christmas Carol, but in this animated adaptation, you’ll find nothing to make it stand out from the rest. Actually, that’s not true; Christmas Carol – the Movie deserves mention as possibly the crummiest adaptation of the Dickens classic that I’ve seen. Starring Simon Callow, Kate Winslet, Nico

9. Finding Neverland (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Finding Neverland occasionally fires on most cylinders, it falters too much of the time to become a generally fulfilling film. Honestly, parts of it go into TV movie territory due to various obstacles that occur. The ending works, but the rest of it stutters. Starring Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet. Miramax, $29.99, 3/22/2005.

10. Titanic: 10th Anniversary Edition (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: (I)f you already own the 2005 SCE, there’s absolutely no reason to pursue the 10th Anniversary release. If you don’t have the 2005 set, I’d recommend you get it. The only circumstance under which I think a purchase of the 10th Anniversary package makes sense would be if you can get it cheaper than the SCE and also don’t really care about extras. For me,
