2. Bernard And Doris (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Bernard and Doris provides an abnormally subdued and understated character drama. It resists all urges to overplay its story and participants, as it instead takes a delightfully real and low-key approach to matters ... Give this one a look as a rental. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Susan Sarandon. HBO, $26.98, 4/29/2008.

4. The Reader (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too much ďAfterschool SpecialĒ, not enough real drama, The Reader disappoints. It takes complex subject matter and simplifies in an unappealing manner ... I think the story has potential, but the film falls far short of its goals. Starring Kate Winslet, Ralph Fiennes. Weinstein Company, $29.95, 4/14/2009.

5. Red Dragon (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At times, Red Dragon threatens to be a worthwhile take on the universe best known from The Silence of the Lambs. The movie never approaches that classicís greatness, but it does enough well to make it entertaining. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton. Universal, $9.98, 4/1/2003.

6. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix [Blu-Ray] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: TMy favorite of the first six films, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix proves to be very satisfying. It delivers quality drama and action while it also moves along the main narrative well. The Blu-ray boasts excellent picture and audio. Supplements donít dazzle, but they improve on the DVDís bonus features. Across the board, this is a nice upgrad

7. Clash Of The Titans [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a series of good action scenes, Clash of the Titans couldíve been a satisfying adventure. Unfortunately, dull exposition and forgettable characters negate the filmís positives and make it a bit of a chore to watch. The Blu-ray provides terrific picture and audio along with a good collection of supplements. I feel pleased with all aspects of this re

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the dullest and most plodding Oscar winners in memory, The English Patient deserved few of the accolades poured upon it. A flat effort, it fails to engage the viewer beyond its attractive visuals. The Blu-ray presents very good picture and audio as well as a stellar selection of supplements. While I donít care for the film itself, this Blu-ray rep

10. Schindler's List (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I know Iím firmly in the minority in regard to my negative opinion of Schindlerís List, but I really donít understand the overwhelming praise given to the movie. It tells an important story but does so with too much manipulation and too little subtlety. Add to that a lack of depth from the characters and it seems like a flawed examination of its subject.
