1. The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Most of the world thinks The Dark Knight was Heath Ledger’s last flick. In truth, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was his final work, but it’ll serve his legacy better to remember him for his stunning turn as the Joker. Imaginarium is far from being a bad film, but it’s too inconsistent and flawed to become a good one. The Blu-ray offers excellent p

Reviewed by David Williams: Criterion has put together a marvelous and all-inclusive set that would impress even the most cynical hater of Thompson’s material.

5. Time Bandits: Divimax Edition (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The 2004 release of Time Bandits definitely warrants a repurchase for anyone who already owns either of the prior releases. The old Anchor Bay release now seems totally useless, as the new one totally outclasses it. However, those with the Criterion version will probably still want to hold onto it for its pretty informative audio commentary. Starring Joh

6. Brazil: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1985)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Brazil provides a daring, rich experience that remains gripping after 27 years. Almost certainly Terry Gilliam’s best work, it holds up to repeated viewings and provides an involving flick. The Blu-ray offers good picture and audio along with a strong roster of supplements. Fans will feel pleased with this high-quality release. Directed by Terry Gilliam.

7. 12 Monkeys: Limited Edition [4K UHD] (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I would not call 12 Monkeys the best film from Terry Gilliam, it works well as an odd science-fiction tale. The movie shows many Gilliam trademarks but still stands on its own as a dark vision of the future. Starring Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt. Arrow, $49.95, 4/26/2022.

9. Time Bandits: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I find fault with the film, I enjoy Time Bandits enough that the movie comes recommended. It sags at around the mid-point, but it still packs more than enough lively and amusing material to merit a look. Starring Craig Warnock, David Rappaport. Criterion, $39.95, 12/9/2014.

10. Monty Python and the Holy Grail [Blu-Ray] (1975)
Reviewed by Colin After nearly 40 years, Monty Python and the Holy Grail remains an inconsistent but generally funny and fresh film. It’s not my favorite Python offering, but it’s entertaining and clever nonetheless. The Blu-ray provides pretty solid picture and audio along with a generally informative and enjoyable set of supplements. All of that with a low list price of less than
