- 1. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (Unrated Special Edition) (2007)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: (T)wo separate Walk Hard DVDs are on the market. There’s also a single-disc release with just the theatrical version of the film and an abbreviated set of extras. This two-DVD release retails for only one dollar than the other package, so I can think of no reason to bother with it. The two-disc version includes all of the same materials plus plenty other

- 2. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story [Blu-Ray] (2007)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my hopes that it’d provide a great little parody, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story only occasionally entertains. It provides a fine cast and a smattering of solid laughs, but most of it just plods along without much point or wit. Starring John C. Reilly, Jenna Fischer. Sony, $14.99, 4/8/2008.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I find it to be inferior to The Silence of the Lambs in almost every way, Manhunter offers a fairly interesting and scary look at the same issues. The movie suffers from some age-related problems - hate that Eighties look and sound! - but it generally overcomes these concerns and is moderately compelling. Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Largely a fable about dreamers and self-belief, The Stars Fell on Henrietta occasionally suffers due to some contrivances and plot holes. Nonetheless, it benefits from a good cast and a generally charming vibe. Starring Robert Duvall, Aidan Quinn. Warner, $21.99, 8/13/2024.

- 10. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Extended Edition) [Blu-Ray] (2002)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Two Towers doesn’t feel as engrossing as its predecessor, but that’s almost inevitable given its spot as the middle chapter of a trilogy. It’s still an excellent movie that continues the tale well. The Blu-ray adds 44 minutes of mostly useful and entertaining material that serves to make the film even stronger than its Oscar-nominated theatrical cut.
