- 1. SCTV Network/90: Volume Four (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With 12 episodes, this is the best value yet of the four SCTV releases. I heartily recommended all of them, so Iíll do so again for Volume Four. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $89.98, 9/13/2005.

- 2. SCTV Network/90: Christmas With SCTV (1981/1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Christmas with SCTV bats .500. One of the episodes is terrific, while the other seems lackluster. Still, thereís a lot of laughs to go around, as mediocre SCTV is still better than most other comedy. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $14.98, 10/4/2005.

- 3. For Your Consideration (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you expect For Your Consideration to be another straight ďmockumentaryĒ ala Waiting for Guffman or Best in Show, youíll come away with disappointment Ė I know thatís how I felt when I first saw it. However, a second screening better revealed the movieís charms and allowed me to appreciate its high quality. Starring Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy. Warn

- 4. SCTV: Best Of The Early Years (1978-1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Iím sure SCTV aficionados will be satisfied with Early Years. Yeah, I/we would prefer full season sets ala the Network/90 packages, but I/we also realize that financial realities may not make that practical. There's a lot to like about Early Years, as it presents plenty of prime SCTV. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $39.98, 10/24/2006.

- 5. SCTV Network/90: Volume Three (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Volume Three presents a high level of good comedy. I must admit itís not quite up to the standards of the first two sets, as a few more duds creep into the mix here. Nonetheless, average SCTV beats the best work done by almost everybody else, and thereís a lot to enjoy in this package. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $89.98, 3/1/2005.

- 6. SCTV Network/90: Volume One (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the funniest program ever to hit the air, SCTV comes to DVD with this package of nine episodes. Not each one flies, but only a few sketches tank and a great deal of hilarious material appears across the almost 10 hours of footage found in this set. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $89.98, 6/8/2004.

- 7. Beetlejuice (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a film, Beetlejuice doesnít compete with the best work from Tim Burton, but that statement relates more strongly to the high quality of his other films, for Beetlejuice remains a funny and effective flick ... Ultimately, due to the ugly image and the absence of supplements, Beetlejuice has too many problems as a DVD to merit a recommendation. Starring

- 8. Where The Wild Things Are [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I canít say how fans of the original book will respond to the cinematic version of Where the Wild Things Are, but I think it works Ė mostly. The film keeps us reasonably entertained and involved, but it lacks a certain magic that would make it great. The Blu-ray boasts very good picture and audio along with a few reasonably interesting supplements. Wild

- 9. Beetlejuice: 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The absence of new movie-related extras like an audio commentary really disappoints, but at least the Deluxe Edition provides substantial picture improvements when compared to its 1997 predecessor. The DE is the one to get for fans who donít own the old disc, and those who already have that platter should upgrade as well. No, its supplements wonít entice

- 10. SCTV Network/90: Volume Two (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When I reviewed Volume One of SCTV, I related my strong affection for the show, and that hasnít changed over the last few months. Volume Two continues to fun and indeed likely improves over the earlier release. The series achieves a bit more consistency with this compilation and offers a great deal of terrific material. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy.
