2. Incredibles 2 [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: On its own, Incredibles 2 brings us a fairly entertaining superhero tale. However, it doesn’t match up with the first film, and it seems a little stale too much of the time. Starring Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter. Disney, $39.99, 11/6/2018.

3. Poltergeist: 25th Anniversary Edition (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I was disappointed that the 1997 Poltergeist DVD skimped on extras, and that emotion becomes much more pronounced for this “Anniversary Edition”. I do still like the flick a lot, though. This is an innovative, clever horror flick that continues to engage after 25 years. Starring Craig T. Nelson, JoBeth Williams. Warner, $19.98, 10/9/2007.

4. Poltergeist (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: All of Poltergeist works very well. Even with its “PG” rating, it never feels like a dumbed-down piece of horror. It presents a lively, involving tale that continues to entertain after 25 years. Starring Craig T. Nelson, JoBeth Williams. MGM, $9.98, 9/3/1997.

5. The Incredibles: Collector's Edition (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you thought The Incredibles might end Pixar’s amazing string of success, you thought wrong. Six films, six huge hits - they’re the most reliable studio we’re likely to ever find. Actually, I admit I wasn’t wild about their two efforts prior to Incredibles, but this terrific flick firmly brings me back into the fold. Starring Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hun

7. The Family Stone (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too bad The Family Stone itself didn’t come as a surprise, pleasant or otherwise. An absolutely dreadful family melodrama that pounds emotional buttons with absurd urgency, it never threatens to become anything more than sappy schlock. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Dermot Mulroney. Fox, $29.98, 5/2/2006.

8. Book Club [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Some films treat topics related to aging and sexuality well, but Book Club doesn’t become one of those films. Instead, it offers a superficial, caricature-packed piece of idiotic fluff that totally wastes the ample talent it boasts. Starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda. Paramount, $24.99, 8/28/2018.

9. The Incredibles [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Incredibles soars. It combines parody with homage to create a warm, witty, exciting and very endearing action flick. Unsurprisingly, the Blu-ray provides virtually flawless picture quality as well as excellent audio and supplements. The Blu-ray creates a stellar rendition of a terrific movie; it’s well worth your attention and is a fine upgrade over
