1. The Adjustment Bureau [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite its action/sci-fi/thriller trappings, The Adjustment Bureau is an old-fashioned love story at heart, and one that works well. It can thank its leads for that, as Matt Damon and Emily Blunt make the outlandish tale succeed. Starring Matt Damon, Emily Blunt. Universal, $14.98, 6/21/2011.

3. The Big Sick [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At times, The Big Sick manages to deliver an entertaining mix of comedy and drama. However, too much of it drags, and it suffers from a void at its top. Starring Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan. Lionsgate, $39.99, 9/19/2017.

6. Jungle Cruise [Blu-Ray] (2021)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Years in development, Jungle Cruise finally hit screens in 2021, where it landed with a thud. While not a bad movie, Cruise never becomes better than mediocre, as it lacks creativity and inspiration. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt. Disney, $34.99, 11/16/2021.

7. Sherlock Gnomes [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: To be sure, Sherlock Gnomes could work a lot worse than it does, but that doesn’t make it an actual good movie. It offers 86 watchable minutes of animated fluff that never threatens to become better than mediocre. Starring Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt. Paramount, $34.99, 6/12/2018.

8. Looper [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While the film left me a bit cold when I first saw it, Looper holds up to additional viewings well. Indeed, more scrutiny allowed me to better appreciate its charms and see it as a rich, involving character western with sci-fi elements to give it some spice. The Blu-ray delivers excellent picture and audio along with a good roster of supplements. Looper

9. Sicario [Blu-ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though the genre threatens to wear out its welcome, Sicario offers a compelling view of the battle against drug cartels. Told in a loose but still involving manner, the movie digs its nails into the viewer and doesn’t let go. Starring Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin. Lionsgate, $14.99, 1/5/2016.

10. A Quiet Place [4K UHD] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Apparently audiences crave something different, as they gulped down A Quiet Place despite its multiple flaws. While I admire the movie’s take on its genre, it comes with far too many plot holes to succeed. Starring Emily Blunt, John Krasinski. Paramount, $34.99, 7/10/2018.
