- 1. Adventures of Don Juan [Blu-Ray] (1948)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a brief break, Errol Flynn returned to the kind of swashbuckling role that made him a star. Unfortunately, he appears disenchanted with his place in Adventures of Don Juan, and the end result becomes a pretty mediocre mix of romance, comedy and action. Starring Errol Flynn, Viveca Lindfors. Warner, $21.99, 7/19/2022.

- 2. Captain Blood (1935)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Captain Blood shows its age, and the movie never consistently fires on all cylinders. Nonetheless, it boasts a fine lead performance from Errol Flynn plus just enough action to make it entertaining. Quite possibly the most famous pirate flick of all, Blood deserves a look. Starring Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland. Warner, $19.97, 4/19/2005.

- 3. The Adventures of Robin Hood: Special Edition (1938)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 65 years down the road, The Adventures of Robin Hood remains a fine film. Not only do we see its influence on later flicks, but also it still seems exciting and entertaining. The DVD presents very good picture and sound along with an excellent set of supplements. An enjoyable and likable action picture, I definitely recommend Adventures. Starring Errol F

- 5. The Sea Hawk [Blu-Ray] (1940)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At its best, The Sea Hawk boasts thrills and daring action. Unfortunately, it sags too much for its middle hour and these segments lessen its overall level of success. Starring Errol Flynn, Claude Rains. Warner, $21.99, 12/18/2018.

- 6. Santa Fe Trail [Blu-Ray] (1940)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As history, Santa Fe Trail proves inaccurate and slanted toward a position that seems neutral toward slavery at best. As a story, it works no better, as it becomes a messy mix of genres that can’t connect in a satisfying manner. Starring Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland. Warner, $21.99, 9/14/2021.

- 7. The Dancing Pirate [Blu-Ray] (1936)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As an early three-color Technicolor effort, The Dancing Pirate earns some attention for historical reasons. As a film, though, this becomes a bland mix of music, comedy and adventure that does little to endear itself to the audience. Starring Charles Collins, Frank Morgan. Film Detective, $24.95, 2/22/2022.

- 8. My Favorite Year [Blu-Ray] (1982)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 37 years after its initial release, My Favorite Year remains a charming and entertaining piece. The movie presents a nostalgic New York of fantasy and it seems winning and likable from start to finish, largely due to a terrific performance from Peter O’Toole. Starring Peter O'Toole, Mark Linn-Baker. Warner, $21.99, 9/17/2019.

- 9. Gentleman Jim [Blu-Ray] (1942)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A loose biopic, Gentleman Jim fails to deliver a genuinely memorable tale. Nonetheless, it brings an amiable mix of drama, comedy and romance. Starring Tyrone Power, Alexis Smith. Warner, $21.99, 12/12/2023.
