- 1. George Harrison: The Dark Horse Years (1976-1992) (2004)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I like The Dark Horse Years and feel happy to own it, but it clearly will appeal to a limited audience. With a list price of $132.98, it doesn’t come cheaply; if you purchase the albums separately, they come to $124.88. That means the DVD and booklet won’t cost you much – if you want to own all six albums. Featuring George Harrison. Capitol, $132.98, 2/2

- 2. Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament Of George Harrison (2010)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Does Paul McCartney Really Is Dead attempt to seriously investigate the “Paul is Dead” hoax or does it just want to poke fun at that theory? I have to lean toward the latter, but the clumsy, idiotic program doesn’t succeed in that way or any other; it’s relentlessly stupid and absurd. The DVD comes with flawed visuals, decent audio and minor supplements.

- 3. Seinfeld: Season 4 (1993)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: By Season Four, Seinfeld was firing on all cylinders, and we can see that from this excellent package of shows. Even the worst episodes still have many funny moments, and the best of the batch truly shine. The DVDs presents more than acceptable picture and sound quality along with a long, deep roster of extras. Seinfeld Season Four represents extremely h

- 4. Concert For George (2003)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a few misfires, much about Concert for George maintains that level of class and elegance. The show itself presents a fairly emotional and memorable celebration of Harrison’s life and music. Warner, $29.99, 11/18/2003.

- 5. George Harrison And Friends: The Concert For Bangladesh (1971)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 1971’s The Concert for Bangladesh was the original star-studded charity concert. With a roster that includes legends like George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr and Eric Clapton, it remains one of the best. The movie suffers from a few problems, but it covers the event in a generally competent manner. Featuring George Harrison. Rhino/WEA, $29.98, 10/24/

- 6. The Traveling Wilburys Collection (2007)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: We’ll never see a supergroup as packed with talent as the Traveling Wilburys. They only lasted for two albums, but at least both of those releases were pretty solid and entertaining. This set includes both Wilbury albums along with some videos and a fine documentary. With a list price of less than $30, this is a nice little package that definitely earns

- 8. Beatles Anthology (1996)

- 9. Dawn Of The Dead: Ultimate Edition (1978)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Due to the nature of the film, Dawn clearly won’t be for everyone, but horror fans should likely dig this enjoyable flick. As for already-established fans, they should be in heaven with this elaborate and lavish release. I guess someone who a) doesn’t care about supplements, and b) has no interest in alternate versions of Dawn will remain happy with the
