2. Goodfellas: Special Edition (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: GoodFellas stands as Scorsese's masterpiece. While many of his other films are very strong, I don't think any really compete with it. From start to finish, he demonstrates such complete self-confidence that it's astonishing. GoodFellas is a bold, daring film that uses every tool at the director's disposal to create a true epic. Starring Robert De Niro, R

3. Goodfellas: 20th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: GoodFellas itself remains Martin Scorseseís masterpiece, as it offers the best realization of his style yet filmed. Never before or since did Scorsese seem so supremely confident and in charge of his gifts in this stunning flick. The Blu-ray offers good picture and audio along with a strong collection of supplements. The ď20th Anniversary EditionĒ become

5. Home Alone: Family Fun Edition (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My lack of affection for Home Alone prevents a strong thumbs-up for it, but I can definitely endorse this DVD for fans. It offers a great improvement over the prior release. Itís the one for new purchasers to get and it would be a fine double-dip for those who own the original DVD. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci. Fox, $19.98, 11/21/2006.

6. Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, all the great supplements in the world wonít make Lethal Weapon 4 any more entertaining as a movie. It provides a slapdash and limp affair that goes absolutely nowhere and provides a terrible ending to the series. Starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover. Warner, $24.98, 12/15/1998.

7. Home Alone [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Home Alone didnít do much for me in 1990 and that hasnít changed over the years. I canít deny that it has a few charms - mainly via some solid performances - but as a whole it seems inane and excessively mean-spirited. The Blu-ray offers very good along with erratic but generally positive picture and some extras highlighted by a lot of deleted scenes and

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I didnít like Home Alone, I wonít call it a terrible movie. However, it was a somewhat uninspired offering that earned its popularity via a few harsh slapstick scenes. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci. Fox, $29.98, 10/5/1999.

9. Raging Bull [Blu-Ray] (1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a film, Raging Bull remains an admirable enigma to me. I respect the movie and like parts of it, but Iíve never been able to truly embrace it. Still, itís a very well-made affair that deserves special attention for Robert De Niroís terrific performance. The Blu-ray itself provides generally good Ė though somewhat dirty Ė picture along with pretty posi

10. Raging Bull: Special Edition (1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my lack of real affection for Raging Bull, I recognize its strengths and recommend it. Should folks who own the prior DVD upgrade to this new one? Definitely.
