1. Middle School: The Worst Years Of My Life [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mild entertainment for adolescents, Middle School: The Worst Years Of Its Life neither thrives nor flops. It comes with occasional signs of creativity but remains pretty average most of the time. Starring Griffin Gluck, Andy Daly. Lionsgate, $39.99, 1/3/2017.

2. 21 Jump Street [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I went into 21 Jump Street with skepticism, as the concept of a comedic remake of an old dramatic TV series didn’t sound promising. However, the end result works quite well, as the film delivers consistent laughs. The Blu-ray brings us pretty good picture and audio as well as a decent roster of supplements. Both as a Blu-ray and a movie, this one deserve

3. The Other Guys [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although it provides mild entertainment, The Other Guys winds up as a disappointment. Despite a lot of talent involved and some scenarios that seem ripe to delight, it falls flat too much of the time and simply lacks the expected wit. The Blu-ray provides excellent picture and audio along with a wide but inconsistent set of supplements. Maybe other fans

4. How to Be a Latin Lover [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Due to its nice cast, How to Be a Latin Lover boasts the occasional moment of mirth. However, the movie runs far too long for something in the light comedy genre and it doesn’t develop into anything consistently engaging. Starring Eugenio Derbex, Salma Hayek. Lionsgate, $39.99, 8/15/2017.

5. The War With Grandpa [Blu-Ray] (2020)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Let’s hope Robert De Niro got a nice paycheck for The War With Grandpa, as the movie itself becomes a blotch on his cinematic legacy. Though perhaps not as awful as a few of his other choices, War nonetheless turns into a consistently bad stab at comedy. Starring Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman. Universal, $34.98, 12/22/2020.

6. Strays [Blu-Ray] (2023)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a stellar cast of comedic talents, Strays should provide a consistent laughfest. Instead, it suffers from too many cheap, tacky gags and too little inspiration. Starring Will Ferrell, Jaime Foxx. Universal, $24.98, 10/10/2023.

7. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As bad as the original film was, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is even worse. Idiotic, illogical and completely devoid of wit, the movie never threatens to become anything other than a cinematic disaster. Starring Nia Vardalos, John Corbett. Universal, $34.98, 6/21/2016.

8. Modern Family: The Complete Fourth Season [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Modern Family train keeps chugging with Season Four. It’s inconstent but generally pretty entertaining and it keeps us with it. The Blu-rays boast excellent visuals along with average audio and bonus materials. Fans should enjoy this reasonably entertaining batch of shows. Starring Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vargara. Fox, $59.99, 9/24/2013.

10. Larry Crowne [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a plethora of talent, Larry Crowne ends up as a disappointment. It’s amiable but aimless as it putters along toward a lackluster conclusion. The Blu-ray comes with good audio, decent but erratic image and some minor supplements. Crowne provides a mediocre diversion. Starring Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts. Universal, $34.98, 11/15/2011.
