- 1. Ted [Blu-Ray] (2012)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ted comes with a fun premise but inconsistent execution. It mixes clever gags with cheap jokes to offer a tremendously up and down comedic experience. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture and audio along with a fairly useful batch of bonus materials. Ted will probably delight Seth MacFarlane fans but it seems less likely to win over new converts.

- 4. Logan Lucky [4K UHD] (2017)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Logan Lucky seems like an odd choice for Steven Soderbergh’s return to filmmaking, as a caper flick like this doesn’t seem like something he’d find irresistible. That said, the movie does delight and entertain, though, so it achieves its modest goals. Starring Channing Tatum, Adam Driver. Universal, $44.98, 11/28/2017.

- 6. Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season Five [Blu-Ray] (1991)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Season Five of Star Trek: The Next Generation seems less positive than the prior two years, it still manages to offer a lot of good entertainment. A few stinkers intrude on the set, but most of the shows appear good or better. The Blu-rays deliver strong picture and audio along with a nice array of bonus materials. TNG fans will be delighted with t

- 7. Hellboy II: The Golden Army - Special Edition (2008)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not quite as much fun as its predecessor, Hellboy II: The Golden Army provides a worthy sequel. I dislike some of its production aspects, but it still entertains and delights much of the time ... Despite visual inconsistencies, this is a positive release for a good comic book flick. Starring Ron Perlman, Selma Blair. Universal, $34.98, 11/11/2008.

-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: They say the third time’s the charm, and the third season of Star Trek: The Next Generation was clearly the strongest of the first three. It offered the series’ highest level of consistency to that point; along with the usual roster of excellent episodes, we found almost no genuinely weak ones. The Blu-rays gave us terrific visuals and audio along with a

- 9. Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Best Of Both Worlds [Blu-Ray] (2013)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As much as I enjoy “Best”, it becomes tough to recommend this Blu-ray. Most fans will also buy the Season Three and Four sets that will include “Best”, so that renders this disc superfluous – unless they really want to see it edited into one single show. This Blu-ray also comes with some supplements that won’t appear in the season packages. If those extr

After three disappointing Futurama movies, we finally get a very good one here. Created by Matt Groening. Fox, $29.98, 2/24/2009.
