1. Something's Gotta Give (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Something’s Gotta Give ran the danger of turning into a cheesy and sentimental fantasy for middle-aged women. Happily, the flick mostly skirts those potential flaws as it provides a winning and amusing piece. Starring Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton. Columbia, $28.95, 3/30/2004.

3. Annie Hall [Blu-Ray] (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 35 years, Annie Hall remains arguably Woody Allen’s finest achievement. I might prefer a couple of other films, but it’s still a strong enterprise with few flaws. The Blu-ray provides good picture and acceptable audio but skimps of supplements. I wish Allen would open up to bonus materials, but I don’t blame the Blu-ray’s producers for this issue.

4. Book Club [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Some films treat topics related to aging and sexuality well, but Book Club doesn’t become one of those films. Instead, it offers a superficial, caricature-packed piece of idiotic fluff that totally wastes the ample talent it boasts. Starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda. Paramount, $24.99, 8/28/2018.

5. Mama's Boy (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you want some big laughs, look somewhere other than Mama’s Boy. Heck, if you want even minor chuckles, you’ll need to go to another source, as this flick irritates and lacks even rudimentary entertainment value ... (T)his is a lackluster release for a bad movie. Starring Jon Heder, Diane Keaton. Warner, $27.98, 6/3/2008.

6. Love the Cooopers [Blu-ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Is Love the Coopers the worst Christmas family drama I’ve ever seen? Maybe not, but it’s on a short list of the crummiest holiday offerings ever made. Starring John Goodman, Diane Keaton. Lionsgate, $39.99, 2/9/2016.

7. Father Of The Bride: Father Of The Bride Collection [Blu-Ray] (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I actively disliked Father of the Bride when I saw it 20-plus years ago, and I can’t stand the film now. Its values seem misguided at best, and even when I ignore that factor, it’s simply bland, lowest common denominator comedy at its most forgettable. The Blu-ray brings us pretty good picture and audio along with supplements led by an enjoyable audio co

8. The Family Stone (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too bad The Family Stone itself didn’t come as a surprise, pleasant or otherwise. An absolutely dreadful family melodrama that pounds emotional buttons with absurd urgency, it never threatens to become anything more than sappy schlock. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Dermot Mulroney. Fox, $29.98, 5/2/2006.
