62. The Phantom of the Opera [Blu-Ray] (1943)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The 1943 edition of The Phantom of the Opera provides an intermittently-interesting but generally dull and bloodless retelling of the classic tale. Even the presence of the great Claude Rains can't spice up the proceedings. Starring Claude Rains, Nelson Eddy. Universal, $19.98, 9/2/2014.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Sting delivers a solidly entertaining little film. It aspires to be nothing more than a consistently compelling and delightful movie and it succeeds on all counts. Starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford. Universal, $14.98, 6/5/2012.

66. The Untouchables [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Untouchables doesn’t always fire on all cylinders, but it provides a generally exciting and well-executed affair. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture, audio and bonus materials, though the visuals lack the “film-like” appearance I’d expect. Still, this is the best version of the film I’ve seen on home video, even if it could/should be better.

67. Halloween [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A sequel that negates the existence of its predecessors, Halloween launches from an interesting perspective. However, as a continuation of the original film, it seems only sporadically compelling. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer. Universal, $34.98, 1/15/2019.

69. El Mariachi [Blu-Ray] (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Shot for about half the price of a Civic, El Mariachi rarely totally overcomes its budgetary restraints. However, the movie usually surpasses expectations and actually allows us to forget its amateurish roots. It seems lively and exciting and remains much more entertaining than most blockbusters. The Blu-ray presents decent picture plus surprisingly posi

70. Halloween II [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Rob Zombie’s 2007 Halloween remake flopped in most possible ways, and his 2009 sequel stinks even worse. Stupid, disjointed, illogical and pointless, the movie boasts no positive elements. Starring Malcolm McDowell, Scout Taylor-Compton. Sony, $14.98, 1/12/2010.
