11. Fast Times At Ridgemont High: Special Edition (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Iím not wild about Fast Times, I like it enough to recommend it. Should owners of the old DVD upgrade and get this new one? Probably not. Picture and extras are the same for both versions, so the only change comes from the new 5.1 soundtracks. Those do better the audio from the original version but I donít think the sound is improved enough to w

12. Top Gun: I Love The 80's Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Obviously any fans who already own the 2004 two-disc SE have no reason to buy this one since it simply repackages the earlier setís first DVD. Top Gun buffs who donít have the 2004 release should skip this one and get that package instead. Not only does it include an extra disc of supplements, but also it retails for less money! The 2004 SE lists for $12

13. Top Gun: 30th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A serious piece of Eighties cheese, Top Gun doesnít hold up well after 30 years. Granted, I wasnít wild about it in 1986, but all this time later, it looks even sillier than I recalled. Starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis. Paramount, $22.99, 5/3/2016.

15. The Princess And The Frog [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With The Princess and the Frog, Disney comes back to traditional animation for the first time in years. I wish I could regard this as a Triumphant Return, but instead, itís just a Pretty Decent Return. The film entertains well enough, but it lacks real magic. The Blu-ray provides excellent visuals, very nice audio and a good roster of extras highlighted

16. Experimenter [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Pioneering psychological work comes to the fore in the mostly satisfying Experimenter. Though the movie could offer more character development, it still becomes an interesting examination of famous experiments. Starring Peter Sarsgaard, Winona Ryder. Magnolia, $29.98, 1/5/2016.

17. Zodiac (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After five years away from the big screen, David Fincher returned in a big way with the excellent Zodiac. A dynamic and intriguing glimpse of a notorious serial killer, the movie provides more satisfying than expected as it creates a truly memorable piece ... Zodiac deserves your attention, though big fans should probably wait for the special edition due

20. Zodiac: Director's Cut (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: This is definitely a worthwhile release that earns my recommendations Ė at least for fans who donít already own the movie-only DVD, and probably for those folks as well. If you have told old one, feel satisfied with its picture quality, and donít care about extras, then thereís no reason to grab the Directorís Cut. However, I prefer the DC due to its vis
