61. The Newsroom: The Complete First Season [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Across Season One of The Newsroom, we get a lot of good drama and character development, but these come with a price: rampant editorializing. While I don’t think the series needs to be neutral, I’d like it more if it wasn’t so preachy at times. The Blu-ray gives us generally good picture and audio along with a decent set of supplements. Even with the pre

62. Disneyland Secrets, Stories, And Magic (Walt Disney Treasures) (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Sometimes a DVD provides great extras and a mediocre main program. That occurs with Disneyland Secrets, Stories and Magic. The titular documentary is fluffy and frustrating, with average picture and audio quality. However, we get lots of fine supplements here, as we discover loads of fascinating archival elements. Those make this a worthwhile collection

63. Friends: The Complete Tenth Season (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I wasn’t wild about Season Nine and feared that Season Ten would be equally lackluster. Happily, it managed to become more amusing and likable than I expected. It finishes off the series well. Warner, $44.98, 11/15/2005.

64. The Rolling Stones: The Biggest Bang (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Make cracks about their advancing age if you’d like, but the Rolling Stones can still rock with the best of them. We get some signs of that in The Biggest Bang, a look at their 2005-07 tour. The performances aren’t always top-notch, but they usually work pretty well. We get generally good picture and audio along with some nice extras. The 2003 Four Flick

65. The Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter (Criterion Collection) [Blu-Ray] (1970)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Whatever preconceptions one may have about the events of December 6 1969 may not last after you watch Gimme Shelter, a film that documents part of the Stones’ American tour but which mainly focuses on Altamont. The movie displays the actions objectively and unambiguously but makes no moral judgments; it simply presents the evidence and leaves the viewer

66. Jack Frost: Remastered Deluxe Edition (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Since it aired in 1979, Jack Frost became a forgotten holiday special, and for good reason: it’s wholly forgettable. A few amusing moments emerge, but the show feels long, slow and dull as a whole ... This is a bland show that should be left for Rankin-Bass die-hards. Starring Buddy Hackett, Robert Morse. Warner, $19.97, 10/7/2008.

67. The Super Mario Bros. Movie [Blu-Ray] (2023)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A smash with audiences, The Super Mario Bros. Movie leaves me cold. Little more than a predictable collection of videogame references, the film lacks creativity and heart. Starring Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy. Universal, $24.98, 6/13/2023.

68. Bangkok Dangerous (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps someday Nicolas Cage will remind his fans why we liked him in the first place, but that day doesn’t come with Bangkok Dangerous. An eminently forgettable action flick, the movie lacks much of a story and fails to compensate with involving characters or exciting set pieces ... We find a bland release for a mediocre movie. Starring Nicolas Cage. Li

69. Pacific Rim Uprising [4K UHD] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A largely listless, semi-coherent sequel, Pacific Rim Uprising fails to live up to the modest standards set by its spotty predecessor. The 4K UHD offered excellent visuals that became an obvious step up from the Blu-ray. Starring John Boyega, Scott Eastwood. Universal, $37.98, 6/19/2018.
