31. Hereafter [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With good people behind it and an ambitious framework, Hereafter should deliver a stimulating take on spiritual matters. Instead, it tends to bore, as it boasts neither drama nor intellectual heft. The Blu-ray comes with good picture and audio as well as some decent supplements. Hereafter fails to live up to its goals. Starring Matt Damon, Cécile De Fran

33. Dirty Harry Ultimate Collector's Edition: Bonus Material (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Purchased separately, the five movies would cost $80.90 MSRP, while the “Ultimate Collector’s Edition” goes for $74.98. If you want all the films, it’s obviously the way to go. I’m not enough of a fan to want the whole magilla, but I think it’s a nice set. Warner, $74.98, 6/3/2008.

34. Million Dollar Baby [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe I'll watch Million Dollar Baby again someday and decide I was totally wrong - it's happened. But based on my three screenings, I scratch my head about all the praise for this simplistic, obvious and heavy-handed flick. The Blu-ray delivers good audio along with mediocre visuals and bonus materials. Neither the Blu-ray nor the movie impress. Starrin

35. Mystic River: Deluxe Edition (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Many thought Mystic River deserved to win the Best Picture Oscar for 2003. I didn’t, but I nonetheless found a lot to admire about this well-executed movie. It depicts a complex character tale adeptly and benefits from restrained storytelling and excellent acting. Starring Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon. Warner, $39.98, 6/8/2004.

The movie entertains to a moderate degree, but it doesn’t provide a particularly strong cinematic experience ... 37. American Sniper: Chris Kyle Commemorative Edition [Blu-Ray] (2014)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With some well-executed war sequences, American Sniper often becomes an engrossing experience. However, when it attempts more character depth, it tends to sputter, as it doesn't pull off those elements well. Starring Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller. Warner, $24.99, 5/3/2016.

39. J. Edgar [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a strong cast and crew behind it – and a potentially fascinating subject - J. Edgar may go down as the big critical disappointment of 2011. While I don’t think it’s a bad film, I also can’t claim it’s particularly good; it keeps the viewer moderately involved but lacks much heft. The Blu-ray provides excellent visuals and solid sound but only minor

The movie presents a vivid sense of style with memorable characterizations and flies by despite its long running time. Starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef. MGM, $29.98, 5/18/2004.
