42. Angels With Dirty Faces [Blu-Ray] (1938)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Thanks to a strong lead performance by James Cagney, Angels With Dirty Faces remains a watchable enterprise. However, it comes with an erratic narrative and too many odd changes in tone to truly succeed. Starring James Cagney, Pat O'Brien. Warner, $21.99, 12/7/2021.

43. The Thin Man (1934)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Bright, peppy and clever, The Thin Man remains a strong film. It has aged little over the last 70 years and it continues to provide a fun and distinctive experience. Starring William Powell, Myrna Loy. Warner, $19.98, 6/1/2004.

44. Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although not my favorite of the three Evil Dead movies, Evil Dead II provides a fun romp. It mixes horror with campy silliness in a satisfying manner. The Blu-ray offers average visuals, erratic audio and some useful supplements. The Blu-ray isn’t a killer package, but it’s perfectly acceptable, and the movie’s entertaining. Starring Bruce Campbell. Anch

45. Turning Red [4K UHD] (2022)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though I will not claim that Pixar finds themselves on a losing streak, they seem stuck in neutral most of the time, and Turning Red becomes another watchable but lackluster production. It works well in its first act but soon suffers from too much filler and too little inspiration. Starring Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh. Disney, $39.99, 5/3/2022.

46. Rain Man: Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I dislike a fair number of Oscar Best Picture winners, but I reserve a special level of distaste for Rain Man. Honestly, it can be an entertaining film but it feels so phony and artificially sentimental that it nauseates me. Starring Tom Cruise, Dustin Hoffman. MVD, $24.95, 6/13/2023.

47. The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen [Blu-Ray] (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A fairly messy mish-mash of a superhero flick, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen sits as one of 2003’s bigger disappointments. Director Stephen Norrington set the bar high with his prior flick, but LXG doesn’t remotely live up to the highs of Blade. Starring Sean Connery. Fox, $16.98, 1/14/2006.

49. Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence [Blu-Ray] (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though Maniac Cop 2 offered a pretty engaging genre flick, Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence fares less well. Thanks to a good lead performance by Robert Davi, it does not flop, but it also seems too rambling and incoherent to turn into a consistently intriguing tale. Starring Robert Davi, Robert Z'Dar. Blue Underground, $49.95, 11/16/2021.

50. Uncharted [Blu-Ray] (2022)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An adventure in the Indiana Jones vein, Uncharted offers a superficial, cartoony affair that never really connects. Despite all the action on display, the movie feels contrived and oddly dull. Starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg. Sony, $38.99, 5/10/2022.
