- 151. Vinyl: The Complete First Season [Blu-Ray] (2016)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite an excellent pedigree and a compelling topic, Vinyl never quite connects. While the series occasionally flits to life, it fails to turn into anything especially involving or intriguing. Starring Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde. HBO, $59.98, 6/7/2016.

- 152. Black Rain: Special Collector's Edition (1989)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Black Rain always looks great, the movie fails to ever engage the viewer. It uses clichés and one-dimensional characters without substance and doesn’t manage to ever become anything more than a predictable cop drama. Starring Michael Douglas, Andy Garcia. Paramount, $14.98, 10/17/2006.

- 153. Road House: Deluxe Edition (1989)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Somehow I managed to avoid Road House for almost 20 years, and I wish I’d kept that streak alive. A relentlessly idiotic spectacle, I can’t even muster “so bad it’s good” pleasure from it ... The iffy picture quality makes this a less than stellar DVD, and the movie itself remains a dog. Starring Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch. MGM, $14.98, 7/18/2006.

- 154. Goon (2011)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite its heavy debt to Slap Shot, Goon stands on its own as an enjoyable hockey-related comedy. Yeah, it lacks clear direction much of the time, but it boasts enough charm and humor to make it work. The DVD offers pretty good picture and audio along with a nice little set of supplements. Fans of hard-edged, profane comedies should enjoy this one. Star

- 155. The Irishman: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (2019)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Given its cast and crew, The Irishman comes with huge expectations, but it can’t live up to those hopes. Too long and too disjointed, the movie disappoints. Starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino. Criterion, $39.95, 11/24/2020.

- 156. Cars [Blu-Ray 3D] (2006)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable, Cars turns out to be a consistent joy. The 3D version adds a nice sense of depth and involvement to the proceedings. Starring Owen Wilson, Paul Newman. Disney, $49.99, 10/29/2013.

- 157. Jumanji: Collector's Edition (1995)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ultimately the special edition of Jumanji is a winner. It's not a great film, but it's fun, well made and it holds up nicely to repeated viewings. Starring Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst. Columbia TriStar, $27.95, 1/25/2000.
