211. Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan - Director's Cut [Blu-Ray] (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the best film in the series, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan continues to work 34 years after its theatrical release. The movie combines action, intelligence and drama into one compelling package that make it a winner. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount, $22.98, 6/7/2016.

212. Star Trek: Generations (Special Edition) (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ultimately, I continue to find Star Trek: Generations to be a very entertaining, exciting and thought-provoking film. Clearly it's not everyone's cup of tea, and its treatment of its characters seems to be a major bone of contention with many fans. Despite that issue and some consistency problems, it works very well as a film and makes for a movie that I

213. Diamonds Are Forever: Ultimate Edition (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: How about those aficionados who already own the original Diamonds DVD – should they snag the “Ultimate Edition”? I’d recommend it. The UE offers improved visuals and audio plus a smattering of useful new extras. It’s a good upgrade. Starring Sean Connery, Jill St. John. MGM, $89.98, 11/7/2006.

214. Star Trek: The Original Series - Season Two [Blu-Ray] (1967)
"Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... the Blu-ray set isn’t cheap, but I think it’ll be worth the money for big fans of the series. It must be frustrating for Trek fans to have to shell out for upgrades every few years, but I think this will be the last S2 set they’ll need for a long time. It’s going to be hard for Paramount to improve on it. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Par

215. King Kong: Special Edition (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though the movie sags during its first act, the excitement and thrills of the subsequent two hours make up for its flaws. The DVD offers virtually flawless picture and audio along with a nice set of informative extras. I definitely recommend Kong and think this two-DVD Special Edition stands as its best current iteration. Starring Naomi Watts, Jack Black

218. Titanic: 10th Anniversary Edition (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: (I)f you already own the 2005 SCE, there’s absolutely no reason to pursue the 10th Anniversary release. If you don’t have the 2005 set, I’d recommend you get it. The only circumstance under which I think a purchase of the 10th Anniversary package makes sense would be if you can get it cheaper than the SCE and also don’t really care about extras. For me,

219. Elf: Ultimate Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: This is a fun film, but I’m not wild about its treatment on Blu-ray – and I’m even less excited about the Ultimate Edition. The Blu-ray costs $29 on its own, while the UE lists for $50. If that extra $21 brought some quality materials with it, I’d be happy to recommend the set. However, I just can’t do that; some of the UE’s trinkets are fun, but they’re

220. Ice Age: Super-Cool Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: This “Super-Cool Edition” of Ice Age is a worthwhile purchase for fans who don’t own the prior DVD. However, I don’t think anyone who has that set should bother with the new release. Picture and audio seem identical for both, and the new extras don’t add much to the package. They’re good but not substantial enough to warrant an “upgrade”. Starring Ray Ro
