171. Patriot Games [4K UHD] (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Professional and moderately entertaining, Patriot Games just doesn’t deliver the goods on a consistent basis. The 4K UHD brings us an obvious visual upgrade over the old Blu-ray. Starring Harrison Ford, Anne Archer. Paramount, $69.98, 8/21/2018

172. The Lucky One [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a move from teen comedy/musicals to adult drama, The Lucky One shows Zac Efron at an awkward stage. He can’t quite make the leap yet, and it doesn’t help that he’s stuck in a slow, stale flick. The Blu-ray provides excellent picture and surprisingly good audio but lacks substantial supplements. I’d recommend that you skip this dull, slow romantic dram

173. The Best Man Holiday [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Almost 15 years after the original, The Best Man Holiday delivers a limp sequel. It runs too long, suffers from too much melodrama and lacks much real entertainment value. The Blu-ray offers reasonably good picture and audio as well as some decent bonus materials. Fans of the first flick may get something from Holiday, but it does little for me. Starring

174. All The President's Men: Special Edition [Blu-Ray] (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Understated but still dynamic, All the President’s Men holds up well after three decades. The movie benefits from its subtle tone and focuses on the story instead of melodrama or silliness. The Blu-ray offers relatively good picture, acceptable audio and some informative supplements. This is a solid version of the film, though it doesn’t add much for fan

175. The Concorde ... Airport '79 (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My best friend Kevin views The Concorde… Airport ‘79 as the best of the series. That’s because Kevin delights in terrible, campy flicks like this. If you’re into odiferous cheese, you’ll likely dig Concorde as well, for smelly movies rarely stink this badly ... Masochists and fans of camp will love it, but everyone else should stay far away fro

176. I Sell The Dead (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It seems like most horror films these days either go with hyperactive “scares” or banal boredom in the name of “subtlety” ala Paranormal Activity. I Sell the Dead reminds us that a middle ground exists. It’s a genre flick that doesn’t assault the senses with rapid cuts and visual gimmicks but also still finds the time to give us excitement and intrigue.

177. Flight Of The Phoenix (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Flight of the Phoenix offers a spotty but generally entertaining action flick. Well, it succeeds when it concentrates on the action, as its character moments fail to add up to much of anything. Nonetheless, there’s enough here to make it moderately enjoyable. Starring Dennis Quaid, Giovanni Ribisi. Fox, $29.98, 3/1/2005.

178. Psycho: Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection (1960)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... it seems likely this release will disappoint fans who already own the prior DVD. This one tightens up its predecessor’s picture by a little, but it doesn’t come across as substantially improved in that department. Sound and extras remain the same. Psycho still needs some work to give it the presentation it deserves. Starring Anthony Perkins, Janet Le

179. Ted [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ted comes with a fun premise but inconsistent execution. It mixes clever gags with cheap jokes to offer a tremendously up and down comedic experience. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture and audio along with a fairly useful batch of bonus materials. Ted will probably delight Seth MacFarlane fans but it seems less likely to win over new converts.
