41. National Lampoon's Animal House: Double Secret Probation Edition (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of cinema’s enduring comedy classics, I think National Lampoon’s Animal House holds up pretty well after 30 years. While I don’t believe it’s quite as good as its legend indicates, it does amuse ... I’m not wild about the transfer, but the disc mostly satisfies. Starring John Belushi, Tim Matheson. Universal, $19.98, 8/26/2003.

42. National Lampoon's Animal House: Double Secret Probation Edition (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it satisfies less than its prior release. Both this “30th Anniversary Edition” and the 2003 “Double Secret Probation Edition” sport similar picture and audio, but the earlier set includes superior supplements. Since the 2003 disc is now out of print, you might be out of luck and stuck with the newer one, but if you can find it, the “Double Secret”

43. Scrooged [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Back in 1988, I expected Scrooged to offer a lively reworking of A Christmas Carol. It seemed disappointing to me back then and hasn?t improved with age; while it delivers mild entertainment, it doesn?t offer enough amusement and creativity to succeed. The Blu-ray comes with pretty good picture and audio but lacks supplements. Maybe someday I?ll change m

44. Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The Story of the National Lampoon [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a look at an iconic comedic institution, Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The Story of the National Lampoon satisfies. Of course, it needs to rush through a lot of topics, but it still delivers a compelling take on the subject matter. Starring Henry Beard, Matty Simmons. Magnolia, $29.97, 4/19/2016.

45. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: Special Edition (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade didn’t live up to the heights of Raiders of the Lost Ark, it definitely topped Temple of Doom, and it finished the original trilogy well. The movie boasted wonderful interaction between its lead actors and seemed quite entertaining and enjoyable ... If you only want to own Crusade, this individual DVD is the way t

47. Stranger Than Fiction (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Stranger Than Fiction walks a thin line between clever and stupid. It only occasionally ventures into the latter territory, as it usually seems bright and involving. Starring Will Ferrell, Maggie Gyllenhaal. Sony, $28.95, 2/27/2007.

48. Porky's: One Size Fits All Edition (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Porky’s became a smutty hit in 1982. I liked it as a teen but now can’t find much amusement in this smarmy, tacky comedy. The DVD provided decent picture, weak audio and mediocre supplements. This is a passable disc for a dopey movie. While that means this Porky’s release isn’t a great product, it does stand as the best of the film’s three DVD versions s

49. Constantine: Deluxe Edition (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Like many, I’d never heard of the Constantine character until this movie hit screens. I don’t know how the film compares with the comics on which it’s based, but the flick provides a pretty entertaining and intriguing experience on its own ... I recommend Constantine to those with a taste for dark comic book fare. Starring Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz. Fox

50. Porky's & Porky's II: The Next Day - Double Feature (1981 & 1983)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I can’t recommend this package wholeheartedly because both movies are pretty weak, but fans of the Porky’s gang should be happy with this set. Starring Dan Monahan, Mark Herrier. Fox, $24.98, 2/13/2001
