41. 3:10 to Yuma [4K UHD] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps not as effective as the 1957 version of the tale, 2007’s 3:10 to Yuma still offers an effective Western. It offers its own approach to the subject and creates an involving drama. Starring Christian Bale, Russell Crowe. Lionsgate, $19.99, 5/2/2017.

43. This Is The End [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe its fun premise and star-studded cast elevated expectations too high, but This Is the End doesn’t totally deliver the goods. It does come with laughs and reasonable entertainment value, but the final result lacks the consistency to become a genuinely fine film. Starring Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen. Sony, $9.98, 10/1/2013.

44. The Phantom Of The Opera [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Slow, tiresome and tedious, I can’t find anything entertaining in The Phantom of the Opera. I suppose its theatrical melodrama plays better on stage, but on a movie screen, it fails to do anything to distinguish itself. Starring Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum. Warner, $14.98, 10/31/2006.

45. The Phantom Of The Opera: Special Edition (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you’ve never seen Phantom, I certainly can’t recommend it. Drivel of this level should be avoided. If you do like the film, however, I’d steer you toward this two-DVD edition. There’s also a single disc version, but it retails for only two dollars less than this one and loses virtually all of this set’s supplements. The double-disc release is the one

46. A Night At The Opera (1935)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A Night at the Opera seems too inconsistent and slow to turn into a true success. However, the movie enjoys more than a few moments of comic brilliance, and those help make the dull spots more palatable. Starring The Marx Brothers. Warner, $19.97, 5/4/2004.

47. James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Thanks to a huge roster of noteworthy participants, James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction offers an entertaining look at the subject matter. Unfortunately, it rushes through each topic so quickly that it can feel superficial. Starring James Cameron, Steven Spielberg. AMC, $34.97, 7/28/2020.

48. Scary Movie 3.5: Collector's Series (Unrated) (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ultimately, Scary Movie 3 tosses out enough manic humor that it inspires an occasional chuckle. Unfortunately, it quickly hits a wall and just repeats the same form of gags over and over with little inspiration or creativity. It’s another tedious exercise in cheap humor. Note that this DVD offers a version of the movie titled Scary Movie 3.5. It's an unr

50. Finding Neverland (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Finding Neverland occasionally fires on most cylinders, it falters too much of the time to become a generally fulfilling film. Honestly, parts of it go into TV movie territory due to various obstacles that occur. The ending works, but the rest of it stutters. Starring Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet. Miramax, $29.99, 3/22/2005.
