91. Surviving Christmas (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe someone will adopt Surviving Christmas as a holiday classic, but I can’t imagine that from anyone other than masochists. The movie wastes a good premise and cast on cheesy material without any form of charm or humor. Starring Ben Affleck, James Gandolfini. Dreamworks, $29.99, 12/21/2004.

92. The Raven [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it comes with an intriguing twist, The Raven does little to surpass other serial killer movies. Except for the quirk of its lead character, the movie seems predictable and “standard issue”. The Blu-ray comes with solid picture quality as well as very good audio and a nice selection of bonus materials. The Blu-ray represents the film well, but the

93. Taking Chance (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After scads of war-related films from over the decades, one might wonder what fresh territory remains to be explored. Taking Chance takes us down an unfamiliar path in a very satisfying and moving glimpse of what happens to soldiers after they die in combat. The movie avoids over-sentimental traps and sticks with the natural emotions as it gives us a gre

94. Quantum Of Solace [4K UHD] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I place Quantum of Solace at the bottom of the Bond totem pole. The movie simply lacks any of the qualities that we desire in a Bond film, as it provides a forgettable, generic action flick. Starring Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko. MGM, $69.99, 10/22/2019.

95. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies - Special Edition (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it lacks the political complexity its theme promises, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies compensates with other strengths. In particular, it throws out so much fine action that it creates a genuinely fun, exciting adventure. The DVD boasts good picture and audio but the extras tend to be lackluster, mainly because so many focus on promotional efforts.

96. Enchanted (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Enchanted offers an entertaining and fairly charming fable, even if it doesn’t always feel particularly original. The movie probably runs a little long, but it still manages to keep us amused and involved most of the time ... There’s enough fun to be had here to earn my recommendation. Starring Amy Adams, James Marsden. Disney, $29.99, 3/18/2008.

97. True Lies [4K UHD] (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: True Lies comes with some glaring flaws, but it provides an exciting and enjoyable take on the secret agent game. It falls short of greatness, but it still seems like a very good flick nonetheless. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis. 20th Century, $39.99, 3/12/2024.

99. Donnie Darko: Director's Cut (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: But it was. Whereas I really felt impressed by the theatrical edition of Donnie Darko, the Director’s Cut largely left me cold. The movie still has a lot going for it, and fans will be very happy to see the changes. For me, I’d rather watch the original take. It was immensely satisfying and it doesn’t benefit from tinkering. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mag

100. The Last King Of Scotland (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite an Oscar-winning turn from Forest Whitaker, The Last King of Scotland presents a deeply flawed flick. The tale fails to provide a rich examination of its subject and turns into little more than a cheap, predictable thriller ... Although I can’t complain about the DVD, I find the movie to be a disappointment. Starring Forest Whitaker, James McAvoy
