- 11. Tootsie (1982)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I believe that Tootsie is over-rated, I do enjoy it. Tootsie is a classy comedy that offers quite a lot of solid humor despite a few missteps. It works because of a terrific cast, all of whom provide fine work ... This is a pretty mediocre release. Starring Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange. Sony, $19.95, 5/29/2001.

- 12. Logan's Run (1976)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Logan’s Run offers a goofy, extremely dated piece of sci-fi cheese. It borders on unwatchable. Starring Michael York, Richard Jordan. MGM, $9.98, 9/29/1998.

- 13. Bowling for Columbine: Special Edition (2002)
-
Reviewed by David Williams: While I can’t believe I’m saying this – and I sure hate to see Moore benefit one wooden nickel for his shoddy journalism - Bowling is worth a rental at the very least. Even though the “documentary”, as well as its extras, could be relabeled “The Moore Manifesto”, it definitely provokes discussion on both sides of the gun control issue and no matter what

- 14. New York, New York: Special Edition (1977)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Is New York, New York an homage, a parody, or a reconstruction of classic movie musicals? That’s a good question, and not one that the flick adequately answers. It includes all of those elements but mushes them together into a plodding piece with little substance or entertainment value. Starring Robert De Niro, Liza Minnelli. MGM, $14.95, 2/8/2005.

- 15. Gangs of New York (2002)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Enough of Gangs seems compelling for me to recommend a rental, but don’t expect a whole lot from this flick.

- 16. Logan's Run [Blu-Ray] (1976)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It probably doesn't take a fortune teller to see where the conclusion to this review will go. Logan’s Run offers a goofy, extremely dated piece of sci-fi cheese. It borders on unwatchable. The Blu-ray presents very good audio and picture. Extras seem light, but at least we get a terrific audio commentary. I think this is an awful film, but fans should be

- 17. The Blind Side [Blu-Ray] (2009)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Why did The Blind Side earn about $250 million at the box office and snare Sandra Bullock an Oscar? I don’t know. While the movie provides enjoyable “feel good” entertainment, little about it stands out from its genre crowd, so I can’t figure out why it struck it so big. The Blu-ray provides very good picture but comes with average audio and supplements.

- 18. Gangs of New York [Blu-Ray] (2002)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Gangs of New York won’t go down as Martin Scorsese’s worst film, it also falls far from the top of his pile. The movie presents a handful of enthralling sequences but suffers from a weak script, a messy third act, and a mix of other problems that undercut its strengths. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis. Miramax, $14.98, 2/2/2010.

- 19. Austin Powers in Goldmember [Blu-Ray] (2002)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Not as good as the first but much better than the second, Austin Powers In Goldmember doesn’t offer a comedy classic, but it provides enough humor to merit a look. Though the movie wallows in a little too much excrement – literally – it enjoys some good performances and quite a few solid moments. Starring Mike Myers, Beyonce Knowles. New Line, $14.9
