181. The Jerk: 26th Anniversary Edition (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Obviously I don’t like The Jerk enough to recommend it to someone who hasn’t seen it. For established fans, however, this is the DVD you should get – even if you already own the prior release. The supplements stink, but it provides radical improvements in picture and audio. Snag this sucker to enjoy the movie with a much stronger presentation. Starring S

182. Bull Durham: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I’ve always really liked Bull Durham as a film, as it uses baseball as a believable backdrop for romantic comedy. Truly, this is the rare film of that genre that will appeal to male and female audiences. Starring Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon. Criterion, $39.95, 7/10/2018.

183. Field Of Dreams (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I was prepared to dislike Field of Dreams, I actually found it to be fairly charming and entertaining. Whatever aspects of the film turned me off in the past melted away as I got caught up in its gentle fantasy and emotion ... Though the disc doesn’t give us the film at its best, at least we get a fine flick with a lot of useful supplements. Starri

184. Bright Lights, Big City: Special Edition (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For a glimpse at pure, unadulterated Eighties cheese, Bright Lights, Big City lacks many peers. Though it wants to provide a hard-hitting view of the period’s excesses, instead it just gives us a silly, superficial piece of fluff ... This becomes a decent release for a silly movie. Starring Michael J. Fox, Kiefer Sutherland. MGM, $14.98, 9/2/2008.

185. Ben-Hur [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An attempt to update a tale of religion and redemption, 2016’s Ben-Hur flops. Despite good intentions, the movie lacks compelling characters, vivid action, or real emotion. Starring Jack Huston, Toby Kebbell. Paramount, $39.99, 12/13/2016.

187. Three Coins In The Fountain: Fox Studio Classics (1954)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, Three Coins in the Fountain fails to turn into a good movie. It lacks a substantial plot or meaningful characters, and it blends its different elements poorly. Add to that a clumsy, stilted ending and Fountain doesn’t go much of anywhere. Starring Clifton Webb, Dorothy McGuire. Fox, $14.98, 11/2/2004.

188. Mulan (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mulan remains one of the best Disney flicks from the modern era. It didn’t rake in mega-bucks of the studio’s most financially successful efforts, it stands as a very well-realized effort that aptly demonstrates the genre’s strengths with almost none of its weaknesses. Starring Ming-Na, Eddie Murphy. Disney, $39.99, 11/9/1999.

189. Daddy Day Camp (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Has any Oscar-winning actor worked as hard to degrade himself as Cuba Gooding, Jr.? I don’t think so, as he apparently will do anything for a paycheck – and he produces a never-ending series of ever-worsening performances. Daddy Day Camp becomes another stinker in the Gooding filmography, an abysmal piece of “family entertainment” that lacks even the mos

190. The Little Mermaid II: Return To The Sea - Special Edition (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea offers another mildly entertaining but fairly limp direct-to-video movie from Disney. The story provides a virtual remake of the original but lacks the 1989 film's charm or quality; it's watchable but not anything special ... Like most of the Disney "DTV" programs, this one is best left to the die-hard fans. Starr
