31. Up [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After two movies that I liked but didn’t love, Pixar rebounds with the wholly satisfying Up. Sweet, funny and exciting, the movie is a consistent delight. The Blu-ray provides stellar visuals along with very good audio and extras. This is a terrific release for a very enjoyable film. Starring Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer. Disney, $45.99, 11/10/2009.

32. Ice Age (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I remain somewhat lukewarm toward Ice Age, it works well enough to merit a recommendation, especially since this DVD seems so solid.

33. American Renegades [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A caper flick that involves US military forces, American Renegades boasts some excitement potential. It never does much with its positive elements, though, so it ends up as a wholly mediocre enterprise. Starring Sullivan Stapleton, JK Simmons. Lionsgate, $21.99, 1/22/2019

34. Batman vs. Two-Face [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it improves on its predecessor, Batman Vs. Two-Face still fails to coalesce into anything memorable. Too silly, campy and inconsistent, it mostly falls flat. Starring Adam West, William Shatner. Warner, $24.98, 10/17/2017.

35. Batman: The Killing Joke [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An adaptation of a famous comic book, Batman: The Killing Joke doesn’t live up to the source. The film version feels tepid and fails to deliver the drama and horror at the tale’s core. Starring Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy. Warner, $19.98, 8/2/2016.

36. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After the disappointment of 2016’s live-action Suicide Squad, I feared the animated tale Hell to Pay would fizzle. Happily, it delivers a brisk, spunky adventure that keeps us pretty entertained from start to finish. Starring C. Thomas Howell, Christian Slater. Warner, $24.98, 4/10/2018.

37. All-Star Superman [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Because it condenses a 12-issue comic series into a 77-minute animated film, All-Star Superman becomes awfully rushed and jerky. It attempts to pack too much into its brief running time and fails to deliver a satisfying end product. Starring James Denton, Anthony LaPaglia. Warner, $14.98, 2/22/2011.

38. Justice League Dark [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With an unusual cast of characters, Justice League Dark becomes moderately compelling. Though not a great movie, it gives us a tale with enough dynamic material to keep the viewer involved. Starring Matt Ryan, Camilla Luddington. Warner, $24.98, 2/7/2016.

39. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a lackluster fourth film, the Mission: Impossible franchise bounces back with the exciting Rogue Nation. The movie boasts many fun action scenes as well as a lot of intrigue along the way. Starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner. Paramount, $39.99, 12/15/2015.

40. Justice League: Doom [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though not the most plot-driven superhero story ever told, Justice League: Doom offers just enough story to make it interesting. It adds bunches of good action and turns into a generally exciting piece. The Blu-ray provides excellent picture and audio as well as a nice set of supplements. DC Comics fans should dig this fun adventure. Starring Kevin Conro
