11. The Muppet Movie (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... I still found The Muppet Movie to provide a generally enjoyable experience. The movie lacks great depth or humor, but it was largely witty and compelling, as the gentle irreverence of the Muppets remains a solid source of entertainment. Created by Jim Henson. Disney, $19.95, 6/5/2001.

12. The Muppet Movie: Kermit's 50th Anniversary Edition (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Should those folks who own the old DVD “upgrade” to this new one? I’d say yes – if they’re actively dissatisfied with the picture quality. The new one doesn’t look great, but it seems cleaner and more watchable to me. I don’t know if the improvements are worth another $20 retail, though. Created by Jim Henson. Disney, $19.99, 11/29/2005.

13. Blazing Saddles (2024 Reissue) [Blu-Ray] (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too inconsistent to really earn its status as a comedy classic, Blazing Saddles fires well at times. Many of its gags fall flat, but enough succeeds to make it generally amusing and lively. Starring Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder. Warner, $14.98, 3/19/2024.

14. Chris Rock: Bring the Pain (1996)
Reviewed by David Williams: ...watching Bring The Pain again just reinforces why Rock was able to re-emerge as the comedic force he is today.

17. Eddie Murphy: Raw (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: That sense of anger makes Raw less than successful as a whole. At its best, the movie presents some very funny moments, but it also bristles for long stretches with resentment and bile. This one probably should be left for Murphy’s biggest fans, as it’s too inconsistent for me to recommend it to less devoted folks. Starring Eddie Murphy. Paramount, $

18. Girls Nite Out [Blu-Ray] (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I expect little from low budget 1980s horror, Girls Nite Out fails to live up to even the most modest hopes. Silly, sluggish and incoherent, the movie never connects in a positive manner. Starring Hal Holbrook, Julia Montgomery. Arrow, $39.95, 5/17/22.
