101. The Music Never Stopped (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite potentially sappy material, The Music Never Stopped gives us a warm, emotional tale of the bond between father and son. It benefits from good performances and a lack of forced sentiment. The DVD offers adequate audio and good supplements but suffers from weak picture quality. The iffy visuals are a disappointment, as the movie deserves better tre

102. Moonage Daydream: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (2022)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too pretentious and over the top for its own good, Moonage Daydream becomes a messy documentary. While fans will enjoy the smorgasbord of rare clips, the overall package becomes a grating mess. Starring David Bowie. Criterion, $39.95, 9/26/23.

103. Jojo Rabbit [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though trailers promised a wacky black comedy, Jojo Rabbit instead focused on a coming of age drama. This shift works and helps make this an effective tale. Starring Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie. Fox, $34.99, 2/18/2020.

104. Alanis Morissette: VH1 Storytellers (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Alanis Morissette makes good use of the format in this episode of VH1 Storytellers. She runs through a mix of songs from her then-small catalog in this 1999 performance and adds quality information about her work as well. Starring Alanis Morissette. Rhino, $14.99, 4/26/2005.

105. The Kinks: You Really Got Me - The Story Of The Kinks (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A sloppy excuse for a documentary, You Really Got Me: The Story of the Kinks won’t satisfy longtime fans or those new to the band. It does a poor job of telling the group’s history, and it lacks enough unique performance material to allow established Kinks buffs to enjoy it. Picture and audio are simply terrible, and the set lacks any extras. This could’

106. Paul McCartney: The Music and Animation Collection (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Overall, the three shorts on Paul McCartney: The Music and Animation Collection provide a moderate amount of enjoyment. One seems terrific, another appears somewhat drab, and the third falls in the middle. Created by Paul McCartney. Disney, $29.99, 4/13/2004.

107. FM [Blu-Ray] (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Packed with classic songs, FM boasts a remarkable soundtrack. Otherwise, the film fizzles, as it delivers a limp take on the radio industry circa the late 1970s. Starring Michael Brandon, Eileen Brennan. Arrow, $39.95, 7/2/2019.

108. Bee Gees: One For All Tour Live in Australia [Blu-Ray] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: We don’t find the Bee Gees in their “classic years” via One For All Tour Live in Australia, but the performance nonetheless showcases the band’s musical strengths. It offers a broad setlist and an engaging show. Starring Bee Gees. Eagle Rock Entertainment, $21.98, 2/2/2018.

109. Paul McCartney: Paul Is Live In Concert (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Someday Paul McCartney will release a good concert DVD, and the world will likely come to an end. Until then, we’ll have to deal with subpar products like Paul Is Live. Actually, it seems better than its McCartney competition, but it still fails to accurately and vividly re-enact the concert experience. Starring Paul McCartney. Universal, $19.98, 8/12/20

110. Annie [Blu-Ray] (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Annie remains a dud because the movie itself is an insufferably cute and cloying concoction. How so much talent wasted itself on this mess is a mystery to me. The Blu-ray lacks substantial supplements but delivers fairly good picture and audio. I find this to be a pretty unwatchable flick, but I can’t complain about this satisfying Blu-ray. Starring Aile
