11. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An intriguing approach to its subject matter, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood manages to create a good drama. It uses Mister Rogers as the entry point to a character journey that works well. Starring Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys. Sony, $19.99, 2/18/2020.

12. The Post [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As much as I admire the goals and ambitions of The Post, I canít claim it turns into a classic. While it offers a professional, engaging affair, it lacks the punch it needs to become a great film. Starring Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks. Fox, $34.99, 4/17/2018.

14. Forrest Gump [Blu-Ray] (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Blu-ray provides positive picture and sound as well as an excellent collection of supplements. While Gump will never be one of my favorite films, it remains entertaining, and this Blu-ray works really well. Itís an easy recommendation as an upgrade for folks who already own the DVD. Starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright Penn. Paramount, $39.99, 11/24/2010

15. The Terminal: 3 Disc Collector's Set (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At this point in his career, I donít know if Steven Spielberg has it in him to make a truly great movie. Saving Private Ryan is as close as heís come in a long time, and it has its flaws. The Terminal stands as a representative of the modern Spielberg: it has enough charms to make it enjoyable, but it shows too many problems to rise above ďpretty goodĒ s

16. Philadelphia: Anniversary Edition (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Well-meaning in the extreme, I appreciate Philadelphia for its attempts to spread a message of tolerance and understanding. Unfortunately, these strengths also become weaknesses as the movie quickly turns one-sided and patronizing, with little room for debate. Starring Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington. Columbia TriStar, $24.96, 11/2/2004.

17. The Green Mile: Special Edition (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mile definitely deserves your attention, and if you donít own the prior DVD, go for this special edition. It also offers a good upgrade for those who do possess the original disc. In addition to all the new extras, the 2006 transfer seemed considerably sharper and clearer. This release is a solid piece of work. Starring Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan.

18. Catch Me If You Can (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The movie offers a number of positives but seems too slow-paced and erratic to be a rousing success.

19. Dragnet: Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A moderate hit in 1987, Dragnet shows nothing that makes me feel it deserved a better financial fate. While watchable and occasionally amusing, the film lacks consistency and drags as it goes. Starring Dan Aykroyd, Tom Hanks. Shout, $29.99, 10/30/2018.

20. Larry Crowne [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a plethora of talent, Larry Crowne ends up as a disappointment. Itís amiable but aimless as it putters along toward a lackluster conclusion. The Blu-ray comes with good audio, decent but erratic image and some minor supplements. Crowne provides a mediocre diversion. Starring Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts. Universal, $34.98, 11/15/2011.
