1. An Affair to Remember [Blu-Ray] (1957)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: During Sleepless In Seattle, a female character makes the claim that “men never get this movie” in reference to An Affair to Remember. I think she was correct, but I guess if guys can have their inane action movies, women can indulge in weepy romances. An Affair to Remember seems trite and lackluster to me, although its leads help enliven it somewhat. Th

2. An Affair to Remember: 50th Anniversary Edition (1957)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As for those fans who already have the “Studio Classics” disc, I don’t imagine they’ll want to double-dip here. 6. From Here to Eternity [Blu-Ray] (1953)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Overall, From Here to Eternity offered an interesting and surprisingly gritty experience. The movie showed its age at times, but it still appeared to work quite well. The Blu-ray provides excellent picture quality along with generally positive audio and bonus materials. The Blu-ray brings us a fine representation of a classic film. Starring Burt Lancaste

10. From Here to Eternity: Columbia Best Pictures Collection (1953)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: (F)rom Here to Eternity fans face a potential dilemma. I think they’ll like this new transfer, but they’ll have to decide if they want the other movies as well; obviously no one will spend $135 just for one flick. Don’t expect miracles from the 2008 presentation, but it does offer a definite improvement over the earlier transfer. Starring Burt Lancaster,
